One thing that will probably help you a lot is to go to a Goodwill store and buy a couple of stainless steel table spoons forks and knives so that you will have something on hand all the time that doesn’t break While you’re there it would probably be good to also get a nylon or Lexan tablespoon or something a little bit bigger so that you’ll have something reliable to stir with but you can still eat with it so you can eat everything out of the same pan without creating a lot of dirty dishes and the extra work it takes to clean everything up/ Years ago I bought a couple of the Lexan fork spoon knife combinations from Walmart for $.75 each and they have lasted for many years

:25 I love this statement and the way you delivered it, speaking volumes here. I feel this way returning to my quirky little island town after a leave, the familiarity feels great. Home is contextual for everyone, even if it is on a rolling chassis, you may have more roots than you imagine. "Even if it is the walmart bathroom", you're at least on your own terms and I remember your statement why you left and started this way back in the first place. There's difference between a house and a home. I often wonder how great it must feel to return to your van after climbing a mountain all day. Not sure if you are thinking about sprucing the place up with some home reno's, or "moving", the world is yours and people here are watching. **Edit: Oh, I “get it” and I’m STILL alarmed. FFS DO NOT USE WIPES ON FOOD!** **2nd Edit: To all the mansplainers (see replies) see first edit** As a restaurant chef of over 20 years I feel I have to weigh in on this baby wipes chicken thing. Besides handling A LOT of raw meats, all kitchen workers are required to maintain current food handling certification. A) DO NOT DO THIS! Using wipes on food is an unsafe practice. This is purposely cross contaminating with chemical products to your food. No, you may not get sick from it but this is absolutely against health standards. You are not removing bacteria, you are adding other contaminates and who know how those properties may effect your food once heated. B) Blot chicken with a paper towel. Washing is NOT necessary, adequate cooking is. I have much more concern about moving a half cooked piece of meat onto that cutting board. If the board was contaminated at that point by raw meat/juices, to place your fully cooked meat, or vegetables back onto that board WILL contaminate. PLEASE review safe food handling practices if unsure. 😬 My advice: Go to your local dollar store and buy a pack of those flexi plastic “cutting boards” so you can switch out. Save the wipes for hands and clean up. Keep the wipes off of your food please. That “extra flavor” is NOT a food safe additive.
