Love BigFork. I played Eagle Bend about 10 years ago. Absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to get back to that area.

Well, from what I have been able to find on various real estate sites. A person (such as myself), retired with a well above average pension cannot afford to purchase any house in Bigfork. Or pretty much anywhere in Montana.

It looks like Montana is getting hit hard like Oregon. Lived here in Oregon my whole life, and now we're getting SWAMPED with people from all over the place. It's running the prices up so high that real working people can't afford it.

Went down a rabbit hole today and found out about Bigfork. Did a search on KZbin and found this video. The area looks amazing. I’ve lived in the Baltimore/Washington area my whole life, I’m 59 but would have love to retire in this type of area. Thanks for sharing the video.

I grew up enjoying bigfork watching my dad kayak the swan which he still does. I would hang around the village and explore all over. I wish there was still as much to explore but much of it is turning into private property slowly but surely. That's just the way it goes and that's life, and that's okay. But there is still much to enjoy anyway and I will always cherish my memories no matter what! To all who move here, I welcome you here and I just hope you enjoy the land and see it fit to be kind and neiborly to the native Montanans and all people and let us continue to explore enjoy this place😌

I'm just seeing this now. My father lives in Bigfork, in the homes along Eagle Bend Golf Course. He moved up there in 2004. We used to live in Bigfork in the mid 80's, before moving back to California. I went to Bigfork Middle School and at the time my father was principle at Bigfork High School. I have alot of fond memories of Bigfork. I'm looking forward to traveling back up to visiting my father soon.

Far and few between…there are some folks who are attempting to integrate it into the primary “country” genre that (over)saturates the music scene here. I was born & raised in WV and have been here off & on for 25 years. I love the country but not country music..to no ones surprise, it’s a huge part of the culture here & something I just try to tune out, lol. Would love to hear some bluegrass around here 🙌

Extremely unlikely you are going to see Grizzlies right in Bigfork, but is possible in the nearby mountains. It's a beautiful town and an excellent vacation spot. As far as wildlife goes you will likely see deer and bald eagles. Great place to charter a fishing boat, great sports bar scene, shops etc. Nice nice cabin rentals, I highly recommend as a vacation destination.
