Heyyy Florida born and raised here, and I’ve been living in my car for 6 months now and honestly, it’s a fluctuating experience. I started towards the end of fall and sleeping at night through the winter was amazing. Now we’re in spring and summer 🥲 the humidity is killer, there’s no escaping it. And if it wasn’t for my little fan, I wouldn’t be here today. Living in your car is definitely a unique lifestyle and causes you to think outside the box, with new problems and opportunities to expand constantly popping up. So good luck on your journey and maybe we’ll cross paths. (Also I disagree, I love Florida’s nature, there are some really diverse and beautiful spots around here.)

Hey Alex! I agree this heat is no joke.. I gotta get out of Florida if I’m trying to survive in my car😭I feel like Florida is very nice for someone who likes beaches.. I’m not sure what else there is to offer other than the springs and the Everglades😭🤷🏽♀️

@@itsjhanae2853 Haha, I actually like the springs and beaches. But there’s plenty to see in my opinion, depends what you like. There’s a lot of historical sites and museums. Honestly, I think it’s a testament to our resilience. No matter what the elite one percenters throw at us, we always find new ways to not just survive but to thrive with what little we have. Being dependant on luxury and convenience was making us weak and hyper dependent on a comically corrupt government. But the more time you spend realising that a little discomfort isn’t all that bad and the more we see just how little we need over half of the stuff we have, the less we need to rely on anything else.

I actually prefer to sleep in lit areas with light traffic. I don’t like being in dark secluded areas because if something were to happen, who would know? Besides, if I’m sleepy, I will fall sleep anywhere which is not always a good thing. I prefer Planet Fitness and stores that stay open 24 hours like Sheetz and Wawa. I park in front of the building so if there’s a camera, it’s gonna see me. (I watch a lot of the show “See No Evil”😫🤣). I haven’t worked out a bed situation yet, but it’s cool for right now. I have done nomadic living for four years. I have learned about a lot of areas you can sleep. My favorite places were the truck stops and rest areas. However, you need to be careful of rest stops as some of them are hangouts of drug trafficking. Actually, there are a few rest stops that will not allow you to sleep overnight and I think they are the ones that have the drug problem. I am right now in a sticks and bricks but I foresee me having to go nomadic again. Since I have to stay stationary for a while, I recently found out about overnight sleeping parking areas for the homeless. I don't know if they will allow anyone who needs overnight shelter, but if they only have it available to the residents of the city I would park just outside the area for protection.

This young woman has the right attitude and will be successful in her car nomad life. In time, she will meet others like her, other young woman doing the same thing and trade personal stories, tips and tricks with each other. I think this car-van-RV-etc nomad living has become an entire movement that’s been building bigger as the economy gets more and more expensive for the poor and middle class to survive in. And it’s not going to go away. While the President and his administration keep saying that the economy is still good, lots of jobs have been created, etc etc, the reality on the ground of this country’s cities and towns for a lot of ordinary people is that they can no longer afford housing of any kind and are forced to do what this woman is doing. I’m in the same predicament facing a big rent hike for my apartment in the northeast. As I watch these kinds of KZbin videos, they are inspiring but scary for me to think I might end up having to do this if forced to. For now, I’m staying in my apartment for as long as I can afford it, mainly because of my job (if they ever found out), my relatives who insist that I don’t do this for my own safety, and because I’m too chicken. 😆
