I walked barefoot in my dad's fields today, and sat up on the hill listening to as much as I could take in , smelling the air and feeling the warmth of the sun. Our living in the woods experience was a far cry from yours.. we bought property in the middle of nowhere not near as pastoral, built a cabin, hauled water, kerosene lanterns.. 30 below and 4' of snow in the winter (our malemute loved it) and eventually got worn down by too many bullets whizzing all over the place during hunting season.. your place is peaceful, beautiful, no chainsaws and your dogs are too well behaved!! Something doesn't add up. 😁

Thank you so much for your lovely recipie for fireweed. We call them willow herb here in Scotland. I never knew they are edible so I will definately add them to the spring & early summer foraging list. You are so blessed to be able to live in the wide open nature like that. Our natural habitat has been badly damaged here in Scotland due to deforestation. Sweden would do well to learn from other nations before they damage their fragile web of life. Scotland is a good example since they are really struggling to repopulate the Caledonian pine forest due to the incessant grazing pressures of red deer. Looking forward to your other vloggs. X
