So i love new jersey and new york. but if i have to choose i will pick New jersey because it’s not crowded and it’s peaceful like you said and in new york there’s so many people and New jersey is safer than new york because there’s like bad stuff going on in new york like there’s like shootings and stuff in new york and i know there is in NJ but it’s not like NYC because Nyc has more shootings than NJ but i have mroe reasons but i will end it here other than that i love new york but i will choose New jersey but anyways stay safe and peace ✌🏼

Got to 3m7s in the video and had to stop. Manhattan has two Ts and you don't pronounce either of them! It is not Man hah enn. That's like someone addressing you as Krisine Balazar... two Ts short!! Aside from that, it really makes no sense comparing living in NJ to living in NYC: one is a state, the other is a city; living anywhere in NJ will never give you the experience of living in NYC, and the rents are more expensive in NYC for exactly that reason! It's NYC!! However, you do have the better views. Sort of like, you have to go to the Ontario, Canada side of Niagara Falls because the views of the New York side are why you go to Niagara Falls!

Ugh. The classic case of the suburban New Jersey person who wants to say I am living the New York life.. without actually taking the leap to make your residence in NYC. It’s not the same. You can make all the justifications you want in your head why you think you are having a nyc life experience, but until you actually live there, not across the water in New Jersey - I don’t care how close you think you are - it’s not the same leap of faith you take in your life or state of mind when you make the extra sacrifices to be a New Yorker. Close geographically maybe, but not the same. But this is what many people who grow up in New Jersey strategise in their minds - trying to have a New York life experience without actually making the full switch. But I guess it’s hard kind of because you are starting out so close by so it’s hard to leave that behind, whereas everyone else is from hundreds or thousands of miles away in Kansas, or Michigan, or Maine. It’s a real shame too, because you are selling yourself short in the end not making that leap. What ends up happening is that eventually, the person will talk themselves into moving further out into the suburbs. Seen this movie a thousand times. Yawn 🥱

This is so stupid. NYC has terrible quality of life, there's no novelty in "struggling" in NYC. You are just probably a transplant with something to prove to us. No one is impressed. After a few years, you'll get back to whatever flyover suburb you came from. The rat race, the burnout, the horrendous quality of life are all real struggles. She is actually pretty correct on her assessment.

well i dont think she cares about "'taking the leap"' cause as she says she loves the calmness of hoboken but she likes having the best of both worlds of experiencing the greatness of new york but not having to be there 24/7

Some people rather visit the city, than live in it. There’s nothing wrong with that. I’m grew up in an urban environment, but I love my peace and quiet.
