Thank you Hillary and Greg for another amazing video. I love your neighborhood review in this one. For those of us like myself who looking to make the leap (July 2020) neighborhood reviews by folks with feet on the ground are invaluable. I can only learn so much from Google maps and other online sources. Your video shared travels are truly appreciated.

For me it's a pretty typical neighborhood of anywhere in Mexico.. The old cobblestone streets are way older than the paved ones, even badly, that I'm more used to, but of course those come with holes in the pavement and those horrible topos, lol. It's very pretty and very livable. I love the little corner stores. That's what Mexico is built on. And after decades of going to the super stores I enjoy getting back to the locally owned corner stores, and I love the local markets for fresh veggies. Looks like you have another great adventure place to live and explore. I've heard there are thousands of ex-pats in SMA. I agree with some others, it would be cool for you to interview some of them.

We actually just got back from spending two weeks in Mexico. First stop was staying at my wife's aunt's place in San Miguel de Allende. She actually lives in the San Antonio community as well. I loved it there! We spent a week there before heading to Mexico City to stay at my wife's parent's place. This was my first time in Central Mexico and my wife has not seen her parents in 9 years. It was a dream! We did a lot in two weeks. We started watching you guys a month or so ago and we love the videos you do! Do you guys ever meet up with fans? 😊 We definitely plan to be back more sooner than later. But I want to email you guys soon and let you know of a few places to check out if you haven't been that we thought were great places. 😉 Keep up the great work! It's amazing how many Americans are clueless about Mexico and the work you're doing means a lot.

New subscriber here! OMG Greg, your Spanish has improved tremendously!! Good job bro! I can tell your accent is getting way better and your vocabulary is incredible. I wanted to give you a little advice which is common for new Spanish speakers. Try not to "think" in English. That may be difficult to understand but try not to translate the words in your head. As you know, the order of words changes frequently. Try to "think" in Spanish. I am super proud of you and your wife for being so courageous in your life adventure!! Good job guys! Keep it up. LOVE the videos!

San Antonio has long been home to expats and houses for purchase are hard to find and prices are steep. The Ancha (main street) houses the Instituto de Allende (art institute) and one of the priciest hotels: Rosewood (just off the Ancha). Overall, SMA is one of the most expensive cities in Mexico, but it also has every convenience.

San Miguel de Allende is GORGEOUS. Thank you for sharing .I am so glad you two are "smoking out" the ex-pat concentrated areas. We will be visiting in a few months in hopes of making it home, but would rather live in an an area w/o a lot of ex-pats; even though I could be "one of them" in the near future.

Such a good job on this episode you two! All the barrios in SMA are unique to El Centro y El Jardin. We have our favorites but they are so close together we get to soak up the flavor of each. Tambien, Las Puertas..... oh, the doors.... When one gets a peek inside, the excitement of Mexico beckons. It's the culture and the people in the end. Hope you imbibed with a (margarita de jengibre) Ginger Margarita!? Saludos! Roberto

90s for sure!! I love the 60s, 70s, and 80s but my heart is in the 90s!! No matter the genres of music there was so much great music in the 90s I’m a rocker at heart 🎸 but I like other types of music too. To me when the 2000s hit it started going down hill then after 2010 it all went to shit ! That’s just my opinion though and everyone is entitled to theirs. Great video by the way, I’m with you on living on the normal neighborhoods where the working class lives. Happy 4th of July!
