Love the area and the homes. Especially the triple garages and extra side parking, we have toys. Not sure about the scorching summers. Anywhere else close by that's a liitle more temperate?

Cedar city is your best bet. That’s about 45-60 minutes north and is at a higher altitude so it’s a bit more mild. Maybe 5-10 degrees or so.

Love the look of these home? Does St George area typically have basements?

It depends on the area. Some places will have walk out basements if it’s on a hill, but other areas on flatland won’t.

I have lived here ten years and i personally have not seen a basement yet, because of the clay soil I'm told.
