Fishing in 5 different countries I finally caught my all time favourite fish. Im living alone on an Island with beautiful blue water, colourful coral reefs and big fish. Never seen one like it! Giant Fish in Rock Pool. Important to always catch and release when you can, happy fishing!

This species of fish is called a Giant Trevally and it is renowned, and regarded as being one of the top best fighting sports fish. A strong, durable and aggressive fish that will put up a fight like you can never imagine! The Giant Trevally can grow to a maximum known size of 170 cm (67 in) and a weight of 80 kg (176 lbs). Because Giant Trevally are so strong and durable most fisherman honour this with a catch and release practice.

I must admit that selfie water release wasn't the best! Yeah just got here to this place, still figuring it out but that drop off is a bit of a curse hahaha lost a few amazing fish early morning... they just hit you and then run over the edge, even with the heaviest gear you can buy it instantly cuts off because the reef is so alive and sharp! and its just a bit too deep to try stand and fish.... but ive explored and found a good spot ;)

The bump is a feature of an extremely rare subspecies in fact (the bump is believed to be either a random evolutionary trait or a past hybridization between golden trevs)!!! I know of a few Hawaiian biologists who’ve documented them but I’ve never found any footage online, I think you may be the very first haha. Skitzy as always Cavy :)

Yesterday was my second time attempting to fish. The first time didn't go very well and I ended up going back home very quickly. This time, it was a lot better as I had watched videos and prepared better. When I arrived, it was extremely windy and the waves were rolling. I saw some people with fishing rods and when I spoke to them, they said it was a bad time for fishing as the weather wasn't good. I didn't listen to them and went for it, I prepared my bait and after finishing all my preparations, cast into a deep water area not far from the rocks I was standing on. Now listen here, this was my second time attempting to fish ever, I have never caught a fish before! So as a real beginner, I didn't realize that the fish had bit and was hooked. By the time I realized, it had already gone in between rocks or inside a hole or something like that. My bait was quite big, and it swallowed it whole. I'll never know what type of fish it was, but my first "fish on!" moment ended up in a broken line and a fish swimming around with two hooks in its mouth. I thought I had snagged at the bottom at first but when it started pulling in multiple directions, I knew it was a fish. Too bad I realized too late! If you have any advice to avoid this happening again, I would be very grateful.Thanks for reading.

My advice never have slack line hahaha. Always have a little bit of tension so you can feel when a fish is biting or takes the bait. With practice you will learn, just keep casting bro!
