Great video, and thanks for sharing it as I will be repositioning my boat to the ABC islands from the US and Bimini is one of my stops. My passage will be done in stages, as I can't do it all at once since I'm still in the workforce and will be either single-handed,or short-handed, and will leave the boat for a week or so at various locations, ( T&C, GTK, RD, PR) so this video is a great heads up for me, in addition in avoiding hurricane season as well. The cell phone is crucial indeed. I have the fortune of working for an airline so I've been flying in and out of various islands finding out the logistical issues, to minimize potential boat and personal issues. Enjoy the cruising, stay safe and fair winds.

After watching you guys on Sailboat Story, came back to this video which I saw a while ago. You guys do an excellent job making videos. Much better than a lot of the channels out there. Wish you would get back to it. BTW, there are SO many Catalina 30's out there (I have 2). Built in audience. We would all love to see how the boat does on the open water. Maybe next year?

The Compleat Angler was way cool. We were there in 1987, before it burned, and got a tour of the place from Ozzie Brown. But, the Bimini Big Game Club was still pretty cool back then, too. They had a bartender named Cooper back then, who had served Hemingway drinks. It's a lot different these days.

Try google fi for cell phone coverage. It works internationally for the same cost as local in the us
@tomd.30825 жыл бұрын
I have MetroPCS and a Google number. I can add international calling, text and data for an extra fee per month and drop it when I don't need it anymore. I think it's $5 per month, but don't quote me on that. I've been known to be wrong on occasion.

I'm curious, at the start of the episode the drone footage showed you tied off to a bouy on your port quarter and also to the pontoon on your port bow as well as being tied on the starboard side. Why not just tie off on the starboard side with fenders?, Also, why didn't you reverse into the slip?

Ask about new SV SeaWolf videos. I miss their videos. Out running Pirates and all. How does the new boat compare to the old boat might be a good subject by the way. I am looking at boats and discounted Catalina and Hunter. If your Catalina is working out well, that opens up my search.

Is the collapsible wagon still holding up? I was thinking of getting one of them, but wanted your take on it first?
@WickedSalty5 жыл бұрын
It's THRIVING, but really still intact and 100% functional. Just some slight wear on the wheels which would be expected. Only downside is that when not full of supplies (on the way to the store) it only tows well in the open position but that's not really a problem. Definitely the best cart we saw out there.

It hurt$ but several cell phone makers (apple, htc, samsung, more) sell DIRECT "developers edition" cell phones. US market channels, full US warranty. These are totally unlocked and often cover ALL carriers, including Verizon. Next time you are looking, consider one of them. Costs more, does more. No more chains.
