For 24 Hours I lived just on vending machines in Tokyo. This 24 hour challenge was a super interesting way to discover vending machine foods like hot dogs, burgers, and fried chicken, but also to discover different vending machine businesses like clothing store vending machines and entertainment oriented vending machines. Enjoy this crazy challenge in Tokyo, Japan!

when i was stationed in Japan when i was in the military, i loved the hamburger vending machine that vended what most would call a white castle type burger. It was served hot in the cardboard box ready to eat, they even had ketchup packets available in a little compartment on the side. Also the beer vending machines were awesome, even had some mixed drinks too and most (if not all of them) had a light sensor so they would shut down at dusk so to not compete with the bar traffic. i loved japan. i was there in late eighties to early 90's. also, knowing the japanese people, i wouldn't be suprised if that little restaurant vending machine would work without paying. they are very trusting. everyone is expected to do the right thing.

@livingbobby obviously you did not travel much, the last vending machine you claimed that is only in japan actually IS NOT. There are vending machines in USA, when you travel by car between cities, the stops for food, etc, you can find very similar machines selling, cameras, ipods, similar hi tech gear stuff. I saw a few in florida and Georgia so try to make sense next time kiddo
