I love that you work with what you have, when it comes to organising. So many of us cannot afford to go out and buy a load of new storage or furniture. The living room looks picture perfect.

I like the new arrangement! Nice part is you can always rearrange. I think it is wonderful that Dave wants to help. Personally, I would not put anything on the blank wall. That would create visual clutter (for me). BUT it is your house. Do what ever makes you feel good.

Keep up the good work! It is a very overwhelming job, I can see… real life not insta. I like the armchair… it will be great to have separate seating when having an adult conversation! Don’t do two big paintings next to each other like that… those would compete against each other.

I enjoyed the pragmatic realization that you are the only one who seems to care about the categories :) If it becomes frustrating for the girls it could be useful to label (words +/or pictures) but also just reduce inventory so that things are more easily findable no matter which bin they're in :) Great work!

I used to do the labels all the time for toy bins! I think it is time I start again. We also need to minimize the toys but they girls are still a bit protective of everything since sharing their space.

@@robindawncreations For sure! That makes a lot of sense. It could be helpful to use Dana K. White's "container concept", meaning that each girl has a bin (or several) for *just* her things. Then it provides the limits. Or even if they don't need them separated, still involving them in the deciding of what to keep/let go of. Setting the bins as limits + then saying "put your favorite things in first", etc. (Dana has great videos about this). Buuut it may also be that this is not the next priority, cuz you already did you much here :) At whatever time you're ready to tackle the toys again, that could be helpful. All the best!

I like it that your channel doesn’t go out on a shopping spree before organizing and cleaning!!Of course I know this because I am about to donate a bunch of containers that take up too much room and of course as a declutter I don’t need as many of them!! I also have two dogs that shed and have to vacuum often !!!

I like to be creative with what I have or thrift what I need. I am still shocked how much fur is on the floor with how much we vacuum!

I'd store the bookcase in the garage & use 2 of the bottom toy shelves instead of pink buckets...if you can consolidate the toys easily. Although it does make the corner look kind of cozy if you prefer it that way. Thanks for the Eddie footage and meows! Great to see the teamwork with your BF!

The bookshelf might be making it's way to the garage soon. We are trying to keep most of the toys in a neutral area while we adjust to blended family life.

I really like this new arrangement with chair and shelving in the corner. I’m glad you decided to remove the coffee table. It seemed too large and heavy for this size space. The pink baskets detract from the rest of the space. Can you change it out with a more neutral piece of furniture organizer? Perhaps you have one already in the kids room?

The space is looking better! It's too bad you can't use cube storage for the TV stand and move the toys and books to that. That would allow you to have less in the room, making it more spacious. But, I also understand trying to work with the stuff you have and you did a nice job!

I think you might be coming across what i came across while ive been renting. None of my furniture fits and the colors are off (brown everything) and what i need in this house is different. It’s smaller here, want to get rid of more, but im not sure if we are staying here or leaving next year. Its hard to make decisions.

That is just it. When we have settled in a permanent place then we can slowly invest in the furniture we really want. On the other hand, I don't mind thing being mismatched as long as the room feels cozy

hello, for the picture, you might try the picture wall : by adding all of your small picture, we can see on pinterest very inspiring photo walls :D As for the shelves : did you think about putting the kids table and chairs ? Near the window it' might be very good for them, as for the toys instead you can put them in font of your sofa (for the moment) or the kid room ? By the way you did make a lot of progress

I think y need more cabin on the wall since y have less space and also higher wardrobes, cabinets for toys and other things, as well as a chest of drawers instead of a bookshelf, a TV on the wall and a chest of drawers underneath to hide cables and more space for other things. I'm not a fan of the open shelves and cabinets, with doors or drawers, it looks more orderly, even if it's not perfect inside. privately, I can show you what it looks like in my place and I also have a small room area❤️😉

It seems like the girls have a LOT of toys. Maybe you can not get rid of but just store some away for a rotation? I find at least w my kid he never plays with toys if there's just piles and piles of them, they just become a mess

LOVE this. I totally agree! That is a project I am going to work on in the future. We are still adapting to blended family life so the toys are a struggle. I am still trying to imagine how I can make that work for us.
