Yes. I think I'm too used to exposure of Europeans that have terrible attitudes and always find something petty to complain about. If she complains, she sure doesn't show it in her videos! I think a petty European wouldn't appreciate scenes like 1:12 because "the water is dirty" or "it's just a river" or some such.

Glad to see that you're seeing places other than the cities. Many world travelers come here they visit New York City or Miami or Los Angeles and they think that they've seen the US. Nothing could be further than the truth. That would be like me visiting Central London or Berlin and thinking that I've seen Europe.

As I said in your last video - you’re really getting a fairly unique perspective of the US because very few tourists would be visiting the spots you are. Even the restaurants are not the “typical” ones that tourists would frequent. The area you’re visiting actually reminds me a lot of Tourraine, except a bit more mountainous. Super job !

The noise that the truck is making is from a "Jake Brake." (Jacobsen Brake) It is a way of slowing the truck by using its momentum to reverse the load on the engine. Most road tractors in the US have one.

Hey, Marie! I can't express how very cool it is to see the US fresh once again through your eyes and experiences! Thank you so much for doing this. I know it's a ton of work to edit and present all these videos - but seriously, they're amazing, so fun, and very refreshing! I think we all get a bit too used to where we live, and sometimes forget the natural beauty and positive things right around us. Thank you so much for the reminders! I'm really glad you're having such a nice time here! Looking forward to day 6! Hugs! xo ✨🤗💗

Seeing you eating at the Japanese restaurant was a bittersweet moment for me. I'm watching this on 9 November, which would have been my father's 90th birthday. I lost track of how many years in a row, he wanted to go to a particular Japanese restaurant for his birthday meal. Now, I probably will never go there again.

“What’s the noise I am hearing!”. That noise is a “Jake Brake”, or engine brake. More specifically, it slows the truck down by throttling down the amount of exhaust gases he emits. It basically works like a reverse turbocharger. It is also why you see the puffs of smoke right after he uses it.

It's so awesome getting to see your reaction to all the things you're seeing. Given your love of Mustangs, we really ought to get you into one on a race track so you can really go fast. Las Vegas is the place to make that happen. I can't imagine what it must be like being back in France now after having experienced American shopping. We take everything to extremes in a good way. I loved seeing your reaction to the chef cooking you dinner. There's nothing quite like a presentation like that. I've been to a few places that do that and am never disappointed. It's cool watching you react to the various accents around you. He was from down South, not sure where, but I've always liked the accent. Keep up the great work and I hope your car is back from being repaired and you're able to drive around again! Have a great day Marie!

Almost Heaven Marie ⛰️ Take me home country roads🚘 🪕🎶 From the look of things the season of the witch was in full swing & America knows how to do it best, bringing home a dog skeleton for your garden would have been cool & not to scary if you were celebrating & those broomsticks reminded of those kids that were trending flying around on an invisible glass, maybe you've seen it. The changing blossoms were so pretty even when it's just a carpark. Having lunch I did notice a Angus cheeseburger on the menu from my motherland, your right about more ketchup , I don't know why the Dutch think it's anymore weird (no disrespect) then using mayo like cream is for us . At long last Mr blue sky is back , it's wonderful cruising among the trees, such great views across the valley, imagine if you were in a balloon, I've never seen big black grasshoppers? like that either , it's cool collecting bubble gum packs, you should have blow up a bubble for a funny picture. Going back to a bigger Walmart there's lots of of nice fresh produce like what your used to, as for the berries your more used to calling them myrtilles , they did get the blue in french right. There was a lot of spooktacular stuff at the spirit store, it was funny seeing you jumping back from the moving model, I thought you looked quite dashing with a sailing hat ready for the high seas & a crown fit for a queen just like that gif I made when you went to Versailles if my memory serves me right, it's interesting there's one in West Virginia to, the masks were well made but I couldn't see myself wearing on , I'll rather make a animal totem one. Going to a Japanese restaurant is more thrilling 🔥 I like that you get to see upfront your food being served, it seems easier cooking without a hob that way & the chiefs get to show off their skills, you've got me more curious about Asian cuisine like Korean kimchi I came across recently, it all looked so delicious 😋 it's been interesting seeing what's available there & how it compares with France , I'm looking forward to what more local delights you got to try, it's been another fun & enjoyable road trip, superb editing , thanks for sharing, I'll carry on creating that special email for your birthday. 💗 🤠 ✌️✨

Shenandoah is a pretty cool place. I have only been there a couple of times but it is nice. It can be very 'back woods' in places but all of it is great. 3:29 The noise you hear is the compression brake. They probably have no reason to use it in this situation. 8:20 You look just like a real American Walmart shopper. LOL!!

My ancestral home is in that region. Near Staunton, Virginia, is a house that was built in 1739. The plantation was called Wheatlands and later Merrifield's. I know that isn't old by European standards but it makes my mother's family an FFV, First Familly of Virginia. I love watching your videos.
@sirmoonslosthismind
@sirmoonslosthismind Жыл бұрын
the "first families of virginia" (ffv) weren't really the earliest european families in virginia (tho we might consider them pretty early, relatively speaking). rather, they considered themselves "first" in the same way that the president's wife is often called "first lady". "ffv" was a snobbish "we're better than you" type designation.

It's funny you're fascinated by Mustangs. It's a pretty common car in the US. I had an '89 model as my first car back in the early 90s. They weren't that good of a vehicle back in those days. But now they're pretty awesome ever since the retro redesign in 2005. The American sportscar you really need to watch out for is the C7 or C8 corvettes. C8's being the 2020+ models. Mid-engine car that looks very similar to a Ferrari. And they're pretty affordable, with a starting price tag of around $60K for the base model.
