Enjoying a nice toscán of Skellig triple distilled Small Batch Sherry cask whiskey… for the chest and to warm me up in sympathy with you in those cold and wet conditions. I believe March was the wettest month in 83 years since records began in Ireland. Looking forward to you enjoying a a great fishing season.

I nearly spat my tea out when you were reading your bottle of Lea & Perrins! It's got anchovies in it. Lovey sauce. Nice on a sausage too! Great to see you christen the season with a nice trout. It looks so peaceful just relaxing by the fire. You always look like you have a great time. If you can't enjoy your own company then you're no good in the company of others! It's still got a bit of a bite to it this weather. I've been out a few times for a springer but there's nothing so far. Might go and have a bit trout fish next week to put a bend in the rod! Hope you have a great season mate and great to see you back what you do best!

In a pinch, Goodalls 'Yorkshire Relish' Sauce (not to be confused with their 'YR' Sauce) is a decent substitute for, as I call it, 'Wuss~ter Sauce' - but it does lack those all~important anchovies (though I know there are those who would regard that as a good thing!! People should bear in mind, though, that the anchovies in Worcestershire sauce are fermented, so the sauce doesn't taste 'fishy', any more than wine tastes like grape juice. ) I'm sure your mate Chris ('Mixed Grylls') can fill you in, all about it! I was betting against you, that you'd catch a trout off the bank before you lost the light. Master of the sport and craft that you are though, you made me feel foolish (the twig notwithstanding!) and caught _three!!_ " 'Oubtcha-Boyy!" As they say, in your part of the country..!

@@Vincentdonnelly5158 Thanks Vince. Only thing, I believe it doesn't do much for the chest. One way or the other! Fun Fact: If you'll permit me to go 'Full Nerd' here, I believe the first sauce ever recorded was a concoction based on fermented fish, with miscellaneous other ingredients, that was very popular in Ancient Rome. Apparently it was available on most every street corner and each vendor had their own 'secret recipe' but it sounds as if it would have been somewhat similar to the 'Lea & Perrins' we have today. Apparently 'sauce vendor' was a well respected trade and you could make a decent few 'sistersci' at it, or whatever their equivalent to 'quid' was at the time. I suppose food was pretty bland in those days - even the simple spud was centuries away, and only the real big shots could afford salt & pepper...
