Its sooo real!!! Im really new at yoga and at first it was hard. I starded doing 3 days in a row and realised it was too much every day... I didnt put a time, i commited to listen to my body i dont let go more than a day without doing the practice (if nothing hurts).. Now its been like 2 months and i fell like doing it every day! I enjoy it so much and it feels so good!!! My mood its totally changed!

I love this one. I have the same problem like your friend. I've been doing yoga since a year now and it is really NOT consistent. I think I should try this out. Thanks for sharing this precious advice! ♥

shattered my spine in 01, calyx to c1, four major fractures and a whole lot of lesser ones plus dozens of bone chips, told I will never use my arms or legs again at first, then changed to you will never walk again even if we get your toes to feel. I do simple hatha yoga. I really do try to do something each day and I try to forgive myself when I miss a day but what they say is true; practice, practice, all is coming." Today? I run at will. Yeah I'm thin as a rail now lol but man I am moving. I salute you all in your journey. Namaste'.

WONDERFUL VIDEO! Thank you so much, I have never been able to think about consistency this way, and I have been very unforgiving with myself. Looking back on this past year and my yoga journey, this path way the way my body was trying to take naturally. Now at the end of the year I find myself wanting to practice six days a week, and you have shined so much clarity on this part of myself. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I love your youtube, instagram, and periscope! Thank you for continuing to share your journey!

Thank you Kino for being such an inspiration, I made a trip to South beach and have been going everyday to The Miami Life Center. It's been life changing, and truely amazing to really get into a dedicated yoga practice. I'm planning to up my practice further and attend one of your workshop in the near future. Keep posting tips and asanas, we love following you all over the world.

Thank you for this Kino. I have a giant wall calendar where I literally give myself a gold star each time I practice OR go for a workout at the gym. My goal is to get as many stars up on the calendar as I can. I'm 18 months into practising yoga and beginning to notice that yearning that you describe on days when I don't do anything except walk the dog. Very grateful to be an active person nowadays. Thank you for your leadership x

Hi Kino I hope not to bother you. I have ashtanga yoga classes 3 times a week but I also practice at home as much as possibile (I'd like to practice six days a week). I have a question: what's the best kind of practice you suggest? I mean: I'm a beginner, I had my first yoga class one year ago but I started Mysore style last month (my first Mysore class was last summer at... the Miami Life Center!). Do I have to practice the full primary series everytime? What can I do If I don't have enough time to complete all the series? I hope you will answer my question!!! Love you, you're so inspiring to me. Namaste Francesca

Thank you. I just began doing Yoga but I love it. I feel committed already. Like you said, when you go so long without doing it, you feel a need to do so. However, i began doing Yoga due to my spontaneous Kundalini awakening. I was on a spiritual path that i didnt know about. Yoga is very beneficial. I feel as if its helping me to embody higher frequency

Thank you so much for this! How to develop a regular, consistent practice has been a question of mine and you have answered it so clearly and compassionately. A quick question in regards to your exercise routine. In an interview with you and Tim in Purple Valley you mention that Ashtanga is your spiritual practice and that if it is used as exercise then it has lost its core value. What I would like to know is what other exercise you do and how/if it connects to your yoga practice? Thank you

hi kino. as per my knowledge, Ashtanga practitioners observe no.moon and full moon days for no practice. apart from that first three days of menstruation for ladies. so that counts to five days off for ladies. what's ur opinion with this lapse.

How long does it take practicing yoga in a day?
@SlCKJOEL
@SlCKJOEL 7 жыл бұрын
Kate Lee I've heard (in general) 15 minutes per day is enough if you practice about five days per week. also depends on what you hope to achieve through yoga. maybe 15 minutes per day is not enough if you wish to become advanced (like Kino). experiment for yourself, everyone responds differently to exercise.

I really love kino and all of her videos! but I feel at the beginning when she says work up to practicing 6 days a week. I started out two months ago and have only not practiced yoga for three days. and I've seen such a radical change. in my body and how tone I am and in my mind and how peaceful I am. I say push yourself. you can always scale back if you absolutely have to but if you want big dramatic results you have to put in the work. you won't see that with just two days a week.

My advise: Get a cat lol I was finding it very hard to practice during the day and I was very inconsistent. After I got a cat though, she started waking me up at 5am to be fed. At first, I ignored her and tried to go back to sleep but after a while I decided I might as well get up and do yoga. It turned out for the best because practicing when the rest of the city is asleep is top! and you actually get to get up together with the sun which adds to the magic of the practice. I practice almost everyday now, except when my cat decides to be a sleepyhead, but if she is a sleepyhead two days in a row, I set my alarm instead for the rest of the week.

Why not do six days a week just doing a couple repetitions of surya namaskara A and build from there? (I was trained as a teacher in Viniyoga, another tradition connected directly to Krishnamacharya and have been teaching myself this primary series, but don’t have an in person teacher to work with.
