The blower motor can be fixed in about five minutes with a spritz of lubricant from the cowl side under the wipers. Look it up, many instructions on KZbin and elsewhere. Lasts for years, then redo.

These seats are amazing but previous generation had also very comfortable seats- loved these semi leather- in my opinion you can complain about some thing in Volvo cars but you can't say bad word about seats. I do trips 423 miles long every month without any stops and I leave a car without any pain. There is one thing to S60/V60 worth noting, driving position is quite high so if you like to sit closer to the ground like in BMW then you can be disappointed about how low you can go. I have ocean race package with 18" rims and I also went for standard profile tyres and changed to 235/45R18 XL. So for anyone wondering if they can fit I have none problems. I also had problem with bent rims but it might because of low profile tyres or how previous owner driven.

I have a 2018 Volvo V60 Cross Country with Osmium Gray paint. Adam mentioned that the armrest in the door is not great. I agree and also think he neglected to mention that the center armrest also sucks. The "floating" center console eats up space that pushes the cupholders back, which then pushes the center armrest back. You really don't have room to adequately rest your forearm, which is okay when you're driving around town, but sucks when you're traveling long distances. I also have challenges with the footwell, as I can't really adjust my left leg due to the way it's constructed. I pretty much have to stretch it out the entire time, instead of being able to bring my leg into a 45 degree angle. Other than the above, the car is a pleasure to drive. With the right tires, it handles WAY better than you would expect and the hp and torque are more than enough.

Is there anyone in the comments here who have owned a p3 v70 and a v60 that could tell me how they compare in terms of comfort (like road bumps, noise etc..) and driveability, id imagine the v60 feels more sportier. I currently own a 2012 xc60 with the d3 twin turbo engine and it is an absolute riot to drive since it also has a stage 2 tune but it is by far the most uncomfortable ride of all the volvos ive owned, every single imperfection let alone bump in the road really "rackets" the car about, in comparison to the 2011 s80 i had the chance to drive for about 10 minutes, that thing absorbed bumps without issue and barely had any road noise with 17" wheels. Id like to get a p3 v70 next but im also eyeing the v60 since it's a tad smaller and i live alone so the v70 would be a bit needlessly large but if the v70 is as premium feeling as the p2 gen v70 then id be inclined to go with that. My xc60 feels like a tin can when closing the doors, it has that ugly echoey sound to it which the p2 v70 didnt.

Good walkthrough of the V60. Found a base model 2016 (only option is keyless start) with 19k. Was curious to see if I was missing out on other options and it sounds like even with the better suspension and wheels you have to live with a harsher ride. I personally think the base 17s with the stock suspension is already a bit on the firm side, but I’m just used to floaty cars!
@fcpeuro
@fcpeuro 2 жыл бұрын
Base with the 17s will definitely ride smoother! It really depends on your style of driving, most drivers don't need the sport suspension, especially if you have some rough roads near you. But even the non-sport suspension will handle corners quite well!

you may have already bought your nice P3 by now, just wanted to add my fresh thoughts on the ride comfort. I used the P2 S80 for 10.5 yrs and recently switched to a V60 mk1 with 18 wheels, and ehh.. it turned out to be a tradeoff.. NVH is noticeably worse in this newer car (especially in the rear seats - my passangers complained haha) and you don't feel that indestructible monolithic Volvo sorrunding. Some of this may have to do sthg with the wagon vs sedan chassis, but I also feel that there was less attention/money spent in this area on the newer car.. anyway.. I wanted to drive something newer (but still not a 2.0 VEA version) so I made my move. enjoy your Volvo!

I wonder if it's some transmission issue, on my old Buick, sometimes it would start shifting rough, but after turning off the car it would fix itself for a while. And other days the transmission was just fine . Also my current P2 has some shifting issues from poor transmission maintenance, but no error codes come up on the OBD2 reader and there's no check engine light. (maybe you need a special Volvo tool to see those error codes?)

My opinion could be slightly biased, lol, but Like i said; I have driven all the Volvo engines and the base and tuned t6 is the best for these models. I'm glad to hear that volvo's legendary safety rep was proved in your case! That blower motor isn't bad with 2 people If one has long arms. You can get away with just taking out the glove box and speedometer/display.

Actually. There's a video idea for ya! You do need the blower motor tool. Can be done in an hour.

I recently purchased a P3 2017 VOLVO XC60 T6 r design. I accidentally left the map light on and now my power drivers seat doesn’t work and my glove box light doesn’t turn on. What do you think happened to my Volvo??

Also I have the Premier Plus like the one in the video best interior ever. 19" wheels etc. One of my wheels has a small crack and leaks air. I have to fill it every few days.

I love my car but ... engine oil consumption issues... It has lost compression in cylinder 3. I can not afford to fix it and still owe money on it... I wish there was a video on how to change the piston rings...

How many miles are on your car? Does it smoke when running? Have you replaced the pcv box or cleaned it? How much of a difference in compression is there between the cylinders?
@getlostinit3D
@getlostinit3D 2 жыл бұрын
@@thatsonebadhatharry8610 145k ive not noticed it smoking just running but at certain speeds when turbo kicks in it would. It currently runs rough in limp mode only. Cylinder 3 has zero compression the others vary slightly. Yes I did replace the pcv box once not many miles ago.

@@getlostinit3D Sounds like you need a rebuild or replacement. Zero compression is either a very bad set of rings, a broken piston, or burnt / broken valve. I wouldn't drive it until it gets fixed.

One thing I know is volvo suck. So expensive to repair. They charge you like it's a Lamborghini for Pete sake. The repairs are so expensive you could buy that car twice because of that. I hate these things so much. They are loud from road noise, wind, clunky, jerky, rattle in bumps so on.
