Thank you, great video clear and well presented. Can I ask one question though? In VIDA, it seems to indicate that the inlet cam VVT pulley should be rotated clockwise using the cog wheel on the locking tool before locking the cam, prior to removing the timing belt. You don't appear to do that in the video, so can I assume it isn't necessary?

I would love you see any video of the piston ring replacement for the 2014 s60 t5. You make great videos and unfortunately, I think I will have to replace mine due to the oil consumption problem. At 104000 miles. I'm not the first owner and not sure the repair background of car. I try to do as much dyi as possible because we are poor, and I like to know what exactly goes on with repairs. I foolishly didn't read about this problem before we bought and now have to tackle this problem. It's a shame. Thank you for your videos.

My 2015 xc60 drinks about 1 qt in 600 miles. We will just drive till it doesn't run I guess. It has about 160,000 mi and it's been like this for a couple years or more. We bought it with close to 125k if I remember correctly.

Adam, informative channel you have on KZbin. I’m a newly 2015 Volvo S60 owner but unfortunately it came from Caravan without any updates on schedule maintenance that they claimed was completed with a 150 pt inspection. With that they and Silver Rock have denied ever repair submitted for warranty coverage. This leaving costs over 3 grand out my pocket. My new found problem is a loud screeching noice coming from that exact spot when the car is idle or riding under 30 mph. Both belts look in good condition but clearly something is a miss. Do the timing and serp. belts need updated? I need to figure this one on my own as my bank is busted after replacing rotate brakes tires struts 2weeks ago. I have a video for the sound. Any insight would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance for reading and look forward to your response.

Great video. This is the first video featuring a V60. I have a 2015 V60 2.0 that has zero compression in cylinder 3. It of course has excessive oil consumption issues which probably led to the cylinder failure after 145k miles. I owe money on the car and need it for work so I am forced to rebuild it myself. If there are any resources you know of that would help the process of removing the engine and putting new piston rings in. Engine rebuild parts list? I am working on one now but this never Volvo is unknown to me and not a lot of information on them.

So what could possibly gone wrong? I brought my lovely 2016 V60 T5 to a Swedish Motors Repair shop. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my car. After the timing belt replacement, my car started shaking/ almost dying in iddle mode and it is burning CRAZY amounts of oil. I am driving now around with a blue tail and get an oil exchange every 4 weeks because my car is literally running out of oil-no leak. It drives great. When I went back every 4 weeks for an oil exchange, they told me that my car is old now and has high mileage ... I am so confused.

Very similar once the timing cover is off, but the 5cyl tool kit is very different - you lock the cams from the opposite side and there's a process for loading the VVT hubs.
