Thank you so much for educating us, Brenda! What a coincidence, I‘ve been trying to research how to get along with others with ADHD, but Hearie friends and reading online didn‘t help give me the full picture until you signed your experiences.

Growing up wth ADHD that was never formally recognized until I was in 30s, I was pretty much struggling as a Deaf kid in mainstreamed schools. I'd get punished many times. It was emotionaly exhausted. Looking back, wow. So much ignorance and denials. It's amazing that those educators and interpreters got away with it. DCC: "Males tend to be hyperactive and impulsive"---it might be true.

With the right motivation (and a positive one not a negative consequence) we can achieve great things! ❤🐶

Brenda said certain colors may help with focus, the example they gave was using a blue paper to cover the lines in the book, so you use the blue paper to cover the next lines while reading only one line at a time. Does this help?

In the description below, they explained it is different between Males and Females, also just my opinion perhaps slightly for People who identify as both.
