I drank heavily for a long time, lost many friends to alcohol. Have a heavy history of alcoholics in my family. Decided to quit,I noticed my body wasn't processing alcohol well. I prayed,God broke the chains of alcohol. I feel so much better, lost 30 lbs. Wake up refreshed in the morning, clear minded. The obsession is gone, all praise to Jesus for setting me free!

I haven't been diagnosed with any liver problems but I do have a suspicion. I recently decided to quit drinking. But I have a party to attend this weekend. Naturally was going back and worth if I should drink. I think me finding this video is a sign from GOD. Why? Because one night in bed feeling aches I made a promise to GOD. I promised I will not drink anymore as long as you heal me. It was a subtle promise. But this video has reinforced my promise. So I promise to GOD, you and everyone on KZbin I will never drink again.

You haven't been "diagnosed with any liver problems" Is that what the blood test show your doctor told you this ,? Was this after the an MRI. ? Liver scan done. ? Mine looked like Swiss cheese. I stopped immediayely drinking beer, wine, wine cooler, anything that had any percentage of alcohol in it. Threw everything out. The word liver failure, transplant scared me straight. My daughter passed almost 3 yrs ago from cirrhosis, she suffered for many yrs with the ammonia going to her brain , hospitalized in ICU more times than I remember, was put in jail time after time for Pi .. her drinking destroyed her life mentally, emotionally and physically. She was physically and emotionally abused by others. I'm at peace knowing she's no longer suffering here , I know she's with Jesus in heaven now.. Alcohol is a legal drug that makes the system , etc.. lots of money.. I work in a hospital as a disability coordinator. The NUMBER 1 cause of disability for my facility is alcohol abuse. People have no idea how incredibly damaging it is, EVEN IN SMALLER DOSES. You dont have to be a full-blown alcoholic to cause irreversable damage. I process applications for liver failure for TWENTY year olds as much as I do for individuals in their 40's and 50's. Had I known how detrimental it actually is to the body in my younger years, I would have never had a drop!

Ct scan and blood work all came back inmpecible except for my fatty liver.. i learned pebto bismol can cause black stool! They kept.me.for. observation because the scan showed possible bleed in the colon. Used that night to do a moni medical detox as they drew blood every 4 hrs.. my bloodwork was all great, not even pre diabetic anymore! Unbelievable! Got 2 rounds of ativan and thiamine but other than that.. by morning learned no internal bleed, hemplobin, sugars and salts all fine.. just a fatty liver. After yrs of thin stools and diarhea and decades of drinking i am in AWE that nothing else but my liver has been truly impacted.. pray i can stop beer so i can heal this fatty liver

What an amazing fella , so pleased you beat the addiction. I didn't experience it as hasrh. I was never a drinker till i hit 36 i spent a 4yr period drinking a litre of gin on a daily basis. In the end i had the morning sickness, shakes, liver pains were horrendous. My personal hygiene dipped, i couldn't do my job properly. The turning point for me was when i broke my wrist, i literally spent 2 weeks in bed drinking. I had friends and family nearly beating my door down with worry. I finally thought enough is enough that was the 9th of December 2023. The come down was the most brutal things I've ever done, 5 days of something i never want to experience again, i went almost 72 hours without sleep , i was hearing and seeing things, hot and cold sweats , pains. I finally made it , that feeling of normality started to came back. I've been sober since! It feels fantastic waking up again in the morning with a clean mind. People out there watching this and are in the same boat you aint alone and help is out there, please try to give it up. He's right being sober is the best feeling ever.

Alcohol is the friend you shouldn’t hang around with. I’m scared of the damage I’ve done to myself with alcohol and just recently have realised that kidneys hurting all the time and liver pains are not good. Easy trap to fall into, there is an excuse to drink for everything; celebrating, birthday, wedding, funerals, it’s winter, it’s summer, had a bad day, had a good day. Had a night out recently and knew it was not a good idea, took over a week to feel something life human. Literally spent a night writing down how long I have left and how long I have to live. Need to see a doctor now, but it isn’t fun, less for the folks you are going to leave behind.

Reminds me a bit of myself. Was in the hospital a couple times in 6 months for acute pancreatitis, and then it quickly turned into once a month for an entire year, along with liver disease. Kept drinking anyways, even after a doctor gave me the very serious talk about me not lasting much longer if I continue drinking, still kept drinking. Ive been almost 3 years sober now, somehow I avoided getting diabetes, and haven't had anymore issues with my pancreas. I feel very fortunate to have fully healed from all that. That was such a shitty time. When I think back on my past, the years I was drinking are just blocked out of my memory, was just such a worthless waste of time those years, not one good thing came from that. Also, men, get your testosterone checked after you get sober. It may change your life having your hormones put back where they need to be if they are low, and be one of the pieces of the puzzle to help you keep yourself together and stay sober.

I’m 36. I’ve been to every state and damn near every continent and country in a touring band. I can’t leave my home in Los Angeles because of what alcohol did to me. I didn’t drink until I was 23. If anyone reads this, I never in a million years thought this would happen to me. I’ve been sober for 5 years but I was running around until I was 31 and now I’m in chronic pain.

Rest in peace to all the souls who've lost their battle with alcohol. My daddy was one if them. Rest easy now. June 8, 2019. 5 years free now.

I just turned 45 today. My late teens was all about getting booze anytime ai could. My 20s and 30s were just getting blackout drunk every weekend mostly with beer. The problems were mostly social. My late 30s up until now has been daily drinking after work in the morning. I am at a place where I can't do it anymore because of the health issues and how sick I've started making myself.

Yes, It's time to hang it, brother...wish you the best. We have a very similar history, but I was also heavy on drugs. Kicked everything once I hit my early 40s. It catches up to you...I was a mess. Now I got 5 years completely sober, and miss none of it. Barely remember most of my youth..

I have liver pain/discomfort. It used to go away a few days after I quit drinking. But now, it's been there for about 3 weeks. Gotta stop

I’ve been following LD from the beginning. The first video I saw of his, I remember closing my eyes and praying for him, he was in really bad shape then, and that’s when he said he felt comfortable enough to be viewed to even make a video. He’s come a long way and is doing some Wonderful work giving so many people comfort and hope. Thanks HK for bringing his story to your channel. “Lived experience is an education second to none” Great saying! I wrote that one down. God Bless 🙏
