Beef fry cooked with pepper is the most important dish in Suriyani Sadhya and it is missing in this video.

Beef dry with copped coconut and dry chili fish pieces are missing may be more items based on immigrant Christian or ancient middle eastern or Persian or Arabic or African or Phoenician. Hope Kerala tourism would do a research to present last 3000 years food of Kerala to modern.

Never close the leaf the way it was closed in the video. It is suppose to be rude and it means you didnt enjoy the food. Close the leaf towards you to let the host know you enjoyed the meal.

Actually both are okay. It's actually not considered rude but rather indicates that you would have liked more food; in northern parts of Kerala i.e. From Thrissur to Kasargod. But from Ernakulam to Trivandrum, if you close the leave towards you, it means you were not satisfied with the meal. Anyways it's okay these days. Sadya is a very rare affair even in weddings.
