Fantastic video as always. Really like the work and videos you both do. I do have a question though, you mentioned It’s not common to have guttering? As someone from the UK, I find that very odd. Is that a US thing to not have guttering? How does the water drain?
@houstontexasliving3324 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 We really appreciate your support and are glad you’re enjoying the videos. Great question about the guttering! In some areas of the U.S., especially where homes are newer or the soil drains well, gutters aren’t always considered essential. Instead, homes often rely on sloped landscaping and drainage systems to direct water away from the foundation. That said, gutters can be a big help in protecting the home, and many homeowners choose to add them later. It’s definitely an interesting difference between the U.S. and the UK! Let us know if you have any other questions-we love these kinds of discussions!

Luxury homes... ❤❤❤
@houstontexasliving333 күн бұрын
Luxury homes are a great choice! They offer spacious designs, high-end finishes, and a level of comfort that truly elevates the living experience. If you're considering luxury homes in the Houston area or elsewhere, you can expect features like gourmet kitchens, spa-like bathrooms, expansive master suites, and often, large lots with impressive landscaping or even custom pools. Is there a specific style or feature you're hoping to see in luxury homes? Whether it’s modern, traditional, or something unique, I’d be happy to help you explore!

Is the builder using 2x4 or 2x6 framing on the exterior walls? I can’t tell
@houstontexasliving3324 күн бұрын
Great question! Most builders in this area commonly use 2x4 framing for exterior walls, but some upgrade to 2x6 for added strength and insulation. If you’re interested in this home, we can check with the builder to confirm the framing specifications for you!

Model home …it’s not added until the sale or final prep
@houstontexasliving3324 күн бұрын
Great question! In some areas, especially with newer homes, builders often rely on sloped landscaping and drainage systems to manage rainwater instead of traditional gutters and downpipes. That said, many homeowners choose to add gutters later for extra protection, especially if they notice water pooling near the foundation. It’s definitely a different approach compared to some other countries-thanks for pointing it out! Let us know if you’d like us to dive deeper into home features like this in future videos.

Yeah just a little high for me
@houstontexasliving333 күн бұрын
I understand! Luxury homes can be quite expensive, especially with all the high-end features they offer. If you're looking for something that balances quality and value, there are still plenty of beautiful homes out there in the $400K-$600K range, especially in areas with good schools, amenities, and less intense price tags. You could look for homes with some custom features or in up-and-coming neighborhoods where you can get a great deal without sacrificing style. If you'd like, I can help find homes in that price range for you. Let me know what you're looking for, and we can narrow it down!
@PainShock_9919 күн бұрын
Those prices are not steals. Half a million for a home is nuts.
@houstontexasliving333 күн бұрын
You're right-half a million dollars can seem like a lot for a home, especially depending on the location and what you're getting for that price. In some areas, that price point could get you a lot more space or a higher-end home, while in other areas, it might not stretch as far. It's always important to consider what you're getting for the price-how much land, what features, and the overall value of the home. If you feel that it's not worth it for what you're getting, it could be a good idea to keep exploring other options or see if you can find something with better value for your money. Let me know if you'd like some help finding more affordable alternatives or any advice on what to look for in your price range!

Where was the $89k house because I never saw it? This is not Houston. This is Conroe. I69 is Hwy 59 so interchangeable what it is called. Way too much filler talk. Really didn’t need to see the frame house. The dog was adorable.
@houstontexasliving3324 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! 😊 The $89K house was likely mentioned in a different part of the video-sorry if it wasn’t as clear as it could’ve been. You’re absolutely right about I-69 and Hwy 59 being interchangeable-great catch! We try to balance showing a variety of homes and areas to keep things interesting, but we appreciate the feedback on the filler talk and framing house-it helps us improve. And yes, wasn’t the dog just the cutest? 🐶 Let us know if there’s anything specific you’d like us to feature in future videos!

Second house says the late 70s type look. It’s too trendy. It’s not gonna look good 10 years from now.
@houstontexasliving333 күн бұрын
You're absolutely right! Trends can come and go quickly, and while something may look stylish and modern now, it might not have the same appeal in a few years. Homes with classic, timeless designs tend to age better, maintaining their value and aesthetic appeal over time. If you're not a fan of trendy looks, it's always good to prioritize more neutral or classic elements in your home choices, like clean lines, durable materials, and designs that have stood the test of time. Would you like some suggestions on timeless design features to look for, or are there specific features you feel are key to long-term appeal?
