Mystic Springs Recreation Area offers free RV camping, tent camping, stunning scenic views, river access, and a boat ramp. Access is via US Route 29. There is a spring about 50' 10 oclock from #8 picnic table. Foundations of mill wheels between 1 and 2..very interesting campground..

Good report! We stayed in site #7 and there is a fire ring of sorts there now. It was 'in-my-mind' the worst of the sites. Nice views, but very unlevel. Not easy to move around like all the other sites. I agree that #8 is probably the nicest site for space & privacy. You should have walked in at the Group Site Area. That is the nicest area there! First to get sun in the am and plenty of trees for shading!

i WILL be checking this one out. one suggestion when you go places could you maybe say a bit more than something like its in NW florida....maybe something like close to this place or that town...or 5 miles from such n such. just a suggestion...give the viewer some sense of where in the world you are. thank you

Did you location the clear spring? We hiked around the entire spring and believe it's up the creek/stream. There's a geocache out in the area of where I believe it is.. Sorry to say we did not find either...
