Hey there. Just watched your videos, and i'm hooked. I really appreciate seeing the regs in all your videos man! Keep up the good work. Nothing wrong with bringing some sensibility to some trouble spots in this province. Cant wait to see more. Ciao

Thanks buddy! We do what we can. Glad you like the regs. We are currently looking at bringing a section to the channel with focuses on the regs themselves for each waterbodies. Plenty more to come!

Great vid. I used to fish the Livingstone 25 years ago. Amazing river and some beautiful cutties in there. Probably a little more pressured nowadays.

Thanks buddy! I totally agree! Awesome fish with a beautiful backdrop. Definitely sees more pressure these days, but I feel a lot of the rivers and streams have faced increased pressure these last number of years.

I agree that stretch of river has seen a lot of pressure on those fish. Great place to fish though. Thanks for picking up that garbage by the bank. Haha netting that fish on your belly and the propane bottle scenes was funny! Tight Lines! 🇨🇦🤙🏾

Thanks! That was definitely a fun moment. That was first time we tried the tandem cameras, and it was worth it. We actually stopped filming for a bit and waded downstream, where Victor ended up getting stuck on a hill and lost his net in the bushes. There are also times were we carry a literal bag of crap we find out. Thanks for watching!

Great video. I always download the fishing regulations on my phone as a pdf. That way I can quickly look up the regulations of any body of water by typing in it's name.

Living in Eastern Canada and being an active and traveling fly fisher I've been aware of the Livingstone and several other nearby streams since the 1990s .. There are few secrets when it comes to trout water. Most of the disclosure is in the AB provincial fishing regulations not here on YT.

I was in that area at a different water body and couldn’t believe how much traffic there was on the forestry trunk road and surrounding areas 😢

I thought all rivers in Alberta were catch and release and no bait allowed. Great fishing spots you found 😀🎣🐟
@fishonalberta

There are quite a few rivers that are Catch & Release. So you're not wrong. But I believe a lot of it depends on what you're going after. Many of the Alberta rivers and streams regulations can change seasonally, especially around spawning seasons. Thanks for watching!

Did you grab jerky from Longview or lunbreck for jerky?? Best in Alberta Also those ones that get off at the bank I call as a catch and a proper catch and release. No harm to the fish from the heat and lack of oxygen
@fishonalberta
@fishonalberta 10 ай бұрын
We actually rolled through Longview pretty early and the shop was closed. However, we did stop at the jerky shop when we went to film Chain Lakes Reservoir. We completely agree with that approach. If you can release a fish, without having to touch it, we consider it a master skill. Lol 😏

Love the intent of the video, but you didn't need to name the river. Even if it's a popular river, you don't need to blow it up more.

You're absolutely right. I didn't need to. But, no word of a lie, we sat down almost on a daily basis for weeks at work, and constantly discussed this issue. We ultimately came to the conclusion that the Livingstone River is not a secret anymore by any means. It is facing more pressure now than ever. As you mentioned, our intent of the video, was and is to make sure everyone understands the regulations and the steps they can take to hopefully save at least 1 fish. There are indeed a few Rivers and Streams we will be fishing in the future that we will absolutely NOT be mentioning the name. Thanks for watching, and the comment! I promise you, we will always do our best to think of the consequences, and benefits of our videos in the future.

I really do agree on not naming the river. . Whether a river is known Or not in 2023 people have many resources to find and discover these places for themselves. Thanks for the video

There are no secret trout waters anymore. This mentality is nothing but elitism and Frenchman's Creek nonsense. This approach, of educating newer anglers on the regulations, proper catch and release techniques, and conservation principles, is all that needs to be done. Don't show your routes and access points, but not naming rivers is childish.

The last couple times I've been on the trunk road or the Crowsnest, it just hasn't been fun. Very few fish, hot and hardly any water. I won't be going back any time soon. The good old days are a thing of the past. I think the Crow may have been hammered by whirling disease.

I appreciate the focus on regulations and catch and release. Most videos don't do that and encourage all sort of garbage behavior.

Thanks! I completely agree. That was one of the main focus areas for us when we decided to create a KZbin Channel 7 years ago. We really wanted to include the regulations for almost every body of water that we film. We really appreciate the feedback like this. Thanks for watching!

A video complaining about pressure and you put the name of the fishery in it??? C'mon Fellas
@fishonalberta
@fishonalberta 10 ай бұрын
We weren't so much complaining, but trying to bring awareness to the river. I think some people are missing the point of the video. Again, the Livingston River is no secret anymore. I would much rather inform people of the regulations, and what they can do, as opposed to trying to hide something that can't be hidden anymore. I really wanted to put the regs video in this episode, and it wouldn't make much sense to talk about regs for an "unknown" water body. Me mentioning the river isn't going to help or destroy this fishery. Thanks for watching though!
