I happen to have already seen a video about that artist that drew the city before. He's autistic, and has traveled the world and drawn many other cities. He even gets the exact number of windows right in every building, amazing.

You guys are brave. A lot of people does not equate safety, keep that head on a swivel. We grew up too close to NYC, but glad you had a good time. The 911 memorial is a must ! You did a great job of showing the beauty of NYC. As a firefighter family, we experienced 911 first hand and won’t ever go back to NYC.

The Statue of Liberty ferry leaves from Castle Garden (large stone building) which was the immigration center up to the late 1800s. My Irish ancestors came through that building escaping the Potato Famine (1847, 1872) . My Croatian ancestors came through Ellis Island about 1907. You passed by DUMBO on the ferry from camping. The large glass building contains the historic merry go round from Idora Park in Youngstown Ohio now known as Jane's Carousel. I rode it through my childhood and even my kids experienced it.

We don’t plan to visit again so we really enjoyed seeing NYC through your eyes and beautiful video. My grandparents came through Ellis. Mom bought an engraved tile with their names that’s imbedded in a wall there. This over nonna’s objections. The newly weds spent a miserable month there before approval to continue so had no love for the island.

The newer iPhones take great videos but they lack in low light performance or any shots taken in the direction of a light source which is what causes the light orbs. Otherwise the quality is very good and hard for most people to tell the difference with a high end camera other. We used only the iPhone in this video to keep us looking more like a tourist. Used the DJI wireless mic. We’ve been using this setup a lot lately. Road shots are GoPro Hero11. We did recently buy a new Sony full frame camera that I am still trying to get used to. Not near as easy to operate. An iPhone and GoPro are so simple. Point and shoot and use cinematic mode for bokeh background.

I went to several of the places in your vlog and some have changed but some remain the same. When I saw "Wall St & Broad" it reminded me of driving down there in Lizzie's 1967 Chevy Impala and getting stopped at the traffic lights by guys trying to clean your windshield & asking for money! heading to FL in a couple of weeks. It was getting close to supper time as mentioned and we needed to keep moving along to get to the 911 memorial eat and walk back to the ferry to make sure we caught it. As many know, Michelle and I love to read the headstones at old cemeteries. (Her probably more than I though) 😂 We could of spent quite a bit of time there if we had it.
