Rwanda is really a small, neat and beautiful country. I too had noted that there are no stalls and kiosks built haphazardly by the road side like in Kenya. I think you mentioned it somewhere in the video. Plus the roads are properly marked, functioning streetlights, intact guardrails and there are no mud pools by the road side. This is just awesome.

In Tanzania High Roofs have just begun as a fashion, I don't think there is anything that makes sense out of it. These high elevated roofs mostly are house built from 2005 to date. It is like now we have adopted the building of contemporary houses. So we might have other factors of highly elevated roofs like reducing inside heat but we should also consider the availability of affordable wood because that roof consumes too much wood in the building process.
@LIVKENYA

That makes alot of sense

HI Liv, long comment alert. I love your videos that i happened on by accident. Amazngly, you guys and I traveled to Rwanda at the exact same time, and always in the opposite direction, but we always ended up in the same places : when you left Mombasa to Nairobi, Il left Nairobi for Kampala. WHen you drove through Tanzania to Rwanda, I traveled (by bus) from Kampala to Rwanda. In Rwanda, the coincidence was dumbfounding: You traveled to Gisenyi, The previous day I had traveled to Karongi (Kibuye) so we saw Lake Kivu 24 hours apart. When you arrived in Kibuye, I was in Muhanga. In Kigali, you visited, among other areas, the Genocide Memorial (was there 24 hours earlier!), toured the town by car, I did it by bike, I also visited the Eco park, THe Art Museum in Kanombe and the Presidential Palace. I went to the art galery ( I dont remember the name.. Wgen you drove north to Musanze, I took a bus south to Nyanza. When you went to the Car free zone, I almost wept....coz, guess what, I was a the place a day before you uploaded the video.. I seemed to be just a step ahead of you! Then you (have the audacity) to drive to Arusha??? Tthat is my "hometown!!!" I have done that route so many times though I have never crossed into Rwanda from Tanzania- my wife comes form Arusha, so we have a property there. Love your videos, and I'll tell you this: bravo. I am an avid traveler and explorer. Very informative. You guys had tonnes of fun. I am back in Nairobi now.

Cameras that are hidden or remotely placed in tree shades are mobile ones and for the fixed ones, the road users know where they are mounted as soon as you see a sign post e.g 80km/Hr you have to obey the speed requirements. Mobile cameras have also well known places where they are mounted especially on 60 or 50/km per hour road signs. Safe Journey na KARIBU TENA KWETU

@@LIVKENYA where systems work most things are manageable; it is when proper functioning of systems is compromised that things transmute into gigantic magnitudes i.e extremes exist, too poor, too rich then e.g. fines are too huge so only the very rich can afford, (economic crimes has its class). That's a fair point. Well noted

@LIV KENYA True. Plus you are putting yourself at higher risk since there are more tired drivers at night than during the day, more drivers driving at dangerous speed, poor visibility to see broken down vehicles and Tanzania is full of wild animals in case your car broke down. You are unsafe inside and outside the car if your car breaks down with no hope for rescue. Unfortunately, many viewers here will think you have given them a brilliant idea worth trying. They don't know that they might not have the same luck as you all, God forbid

@@semwenzimohamed7609 Not just animals but bandits as well, just imagine pale salgaa usiku vile inakuanga insecure na ni kenya, what of a foreign country? Sometimes we put a lot of trust on our vehicles forgetting they are man made, a car might have never broken down before but that is not enough reason to risk driving at night in uncharted territories and these are just some of the unfortunate eventualities that might occur at night. LIV KENYA anafanya kazi poa but hiyo ya ku drive usiku ameuma nje. Don't risk your life and the lives of your travel buddies in the name of content.

@@LIVKENYA Today is our first day of exploring Kigali. The first thing that I notice is how cool it is here at night. Just outside now enjoying my morning coffee and you certainly can feel the briskness in the air!

Must be tough to remember which side of road to drive on East Africa should standardize like west Africa did.everybody should drive in right side. Ghana shut down driving for a day switched signs and reminded people for weeks that driving is now right-side. It can be done and should be done

Rwanda is just on another level, best roads, best traffic surveillance system, well maintained buildings, clean and green environments etc. Kudos to their longest serving president His Excellence Paul Kagame for making the country most modernised in Eastern Africa region and probably in the whole of Africa.
