I test out the burn time of the Lixada Multi Fuel Stove to see how long it will burn on 250 ml/8 ounces/1 cup of white gas (naphtha).
I was impressed with the result! I extrapolated the time it would burn, if it were filled to the fill line (410 ml) on the 500 ml bottle.

If i was to buy i would go with the MSR Dragonfly that is with ton of flame control. Jujitsu 2000 has the channel on KZbin and he reviews such stoves. So with the Dragonfly you can go down to simmer like a " birthday candle 🕯️. Its that efective but its laus. For both quite stove and lots of flame control it is the MSR simmer lite. I am planning in the future getting a MSR simerlite or the dragon fly

I'm thinking that with the MSR stoves you can count on better quality and customer support, but I don't know because I have not purchased one of their stoves yet. I'm going to be testing the Lixada more and more and we'll see if it is a long lasting stove. For what it is, it seems like it is ok. We'll see and I'll update the results.

I have a similar stove that’s made by Optimus and works great . Man that’s awesome you could make a pot of chilli from scratch 😂that lasted a long time on fill up.

I've seen the Optimus on other channels and that is where I decided I wanted a stove similar to that. I think they are great pieces of gear! I'll have to try that sometime. Go out and cook up a pot of chili from scratch😀I've got a decent recipe so it might be worth a share. I was surprised out how long the stove lasted on the fill-up. It's good to know for the future and planning outings. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!

I am interested in this stove and watched all your videos. Thank you for sharing, it was very helpful. Do you know if it works with nafta? It doesn't explicitly say in the description on Amazon. Thanks!

Hi Benoit, Thanks for watching, I appreciate it! When I look up the word “nafta” it has various meanings depending on which country you are from. I found this by looking up naphtha in Wikipedia and the Petroleum section. It seems that it generally means diesel. So yes, this stove will burn diesel or nafta. It will be important to do the initial lighting and burn to warm up the tub to vaporise the fuel and once that pre-burn has been done the stove can be turned on fully. The stove will basically burn any of the major fuels such as naphtha (also known as white gas or Coleman fuel), gasoline (also known as petrol), diesel (also known as nafta), kerosene (also known as paraffin or lamp oil), aviation fuel, and alcohol. The stove also has a fitting to use ISO-butane canisters. You can also screw in adapters so that it can use Butane as well as Propane. I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll try to answer them.

To be honest I would invest in MSR whisperlite or even a Primus multifuel stove just because of warranty and safety measures. You know in the long run it Will last you longer and the stoves are American brand.
@agesadventures
@agesadventures Жыл бұрын
I would have preferred that, but the price was a barrier. The MSR Whisperlite Universal is almost 3 times the price of the Lixada Multi-Fuel. So I thought I'd try the Lixada first. I'll give updates on it as I go so that others can know what issues I run into with it

I'm not sure I understand your meaning. The translation back to English may not be exact. Yes, I'd be happy if it burned even longer, but I am still impressed with how long it currently burns. It allows you to cook a lot with one fill of the fuel bottle. I do like the stove. It does what I need it to and it will also burn different fuel types. Since I've owned it, it has worked well for me.

@@НиколайАлешин-щ9ш ok, I understand what you mean now! I pumped it up 30 or 40 times when I did this test. In the future, I could try pumping it up much more to see what the stove will do🔥 I'm from Canada. I live in British Columbia. The MSR Whisper Lite costs $185 Canadian and the MSR Whisperlite Universal Stove costs $260. This stove that I was using was a Lixada Multi Fuel Stove which sells for $78 Canadian. It's basically the same as the BRS Multi-Fuel Stove. One day I'd like to get one of the MSR stoves.

@НиколайАлешин-щ9ш

Has the fuel pump connection detonated yet and caused a fireball? Mine did that on the test run straight out of the box! Where you screw the hose onto the bottle pump, the threaded fitting is badly press fitted into that plastic knob. That would explain why this whole stove kit is less than a replacement Primus bottle pump. Honestly, the stove itself and the hose is fine, the failing point is the bottle and pump, the bottle is clearly not suitable to be pressurised and the pump is a health hazard as you can't decompress the bottle without unscrewing the pump!
@agesadventures
@agesadventures Жыл бұрын
No detonation or fireball yet. I'll keep a careful eye on this! Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Yes, the depressurization is an adventure. I've now figured out how to unscrew slowly to let the pressure off, but it really shouldn't be something where you need to learn a skill. I'll keep testing it out this summer to see how it handles.

What these reviews are doshonest about is how often they have to pump to keep the stove going. I had to pump mine about every 5 minutes. Let me know if someone else had a different experience

You shouldn't have to pump it every 5 minutes. I didn't do that in this test. I'll watch for it again this summer as I start to use the stove more again to see if I run into any issues. Do you have a leaky seal maybe? How many times did you pump it up to start?
