I always tried to use minimal texture brushes and photoshop tools, but then I saw Craig Mullins who uses every trick in the book, and other painters like him. They use tons of different brushes and photoshop tools, and they’re work looks outstanding. The key is subtlety, which you do extraordinarily well. Reminds me of Sargent or something.

Hey Lixin, thank you so much for your content, it's very helpfull and you explain it well. As you said in the video, you know your brushes extremely well, and that's why your not lost in your approch. I use to paint the same way and I understand your way of thinking. But I would love to ear you and see you painting whith a small set of basic and textured brushes , to be more effective in our comprehension. It would be soo nice. Keep it up bro you're very inspiring !
