Liza is simply the best like I have said a zillion times before and so is Lorna her sister and her Mom judy was the best ! Liza does a great job on her Mom s song ! Ive seen her two times in concert in 1079 and 1991 and shes awesome in person !

I read this performance at the Mac Awards was what prompted Fred Ebb to want to direct Liza in 'Minnelli On Minnelli'. She had been through so much physically, and he doubted she was up to the task of performing a show. He was in attendance at this award event and after the show, took her by the shoulders and said "Liza May, you're ready."

This is right after her polyps on her vocal chords were removed, leaving her voice all the worse....plus her on going smoking makes it worse and worse.

Gawd, she's terrible. Got that terrible shaky vibrato, worse than her mother. Way overly dramatic...but you have to hand it to her for trying.
