Thank you very much for this review !! I would like to make some clarifications about your gameplay: 1- You must draw a trap card when the hero uses ALL his movement points, at the end of his movement phase. If a trap is drawn, the hero has fallen into a trap during his movement. 2- In HeroQuest, it is normal to enter a room and fall into a trap without the possibility of searching for traps beforehand. 3- Regarding the blocked door, you can simply not put the piece of furniture on the board or move up the door. 4- The monsters cards are very well tested and all the monsters attack the heroes in groups whenever they can. Thank you Ash !!

Thanks for the gift. I would definitely suggest the clarifications be added into a future revision of the deck :]

B.S. monster balance is fitting with HeroQuest, so the first monsters you fighting being two Dread/Chaos Warriors checks out.

AI art (not being neccesary at all) makes it a big no to me, or as copyright and others work mean nothing to the author, makes me want to recreate a "clean" version of it and put it avaliable for everyone to download for free.

@@JoseAlonsoFdz What the hell are you talking about? Using AI is totally legal and I have every right to use it if I want. If you don't like it just ignore my product. The system has been fully created by me and the card design is mine. Only the art has been designed by AI. If you copy it and distribute it for free you are committing a crime and you will hear from my lawyers. You have to be a very bad person to attack someone so small that doesn't make money even to pay the costs and does it so that the HeroQuest community has more game modes.

@@QuintMorrison6 You are right. The first Quest of the core box has 2 Dread warriors on the 3rd room...

Well, it figures they would come out with this and the All-In bundle after I already purchased the other decks! This deck looks pretty cool. Being Zargon 99% of my time playing, I could easily use this deck to make random dungeons before hand.

So, which do you recommend more? Axianquest Infinite Dungeon or Lauren's Uncharted Dungeons? As interesting as Axianquest appears, those cards are just too small (not to mention, expensive for their size).
@bravo320zf4 ай бұрын
Personally I prefer the AxianQuest system more. I feel like it gives me less of a headache when I'm generating a dungeon. Also I think the cards could be bigger but the smaller size does make them easier to place on the board. I feel like the Advanced Game System is just too much text and stuff to remember for me. I might still get it for parts and pieces but I don't think it will replace the AxianQuests Infinite Dungeon system. As far as the coast goes I think the whole Axianquest system is bundled up together for $80 and based on what you get that isn't a bad deal.

I can't really say other than go with the one(s) that suit your playstyle more. They each have pros and cons. I will say I've liked everything Axian has put out but I really like the layer of colored X here to give the Zargon additional homebrew control. I stand firm that the default monster configurations aren't balanced, so it's good to be able to make my own and still use the room generation cards. I do happen to like the AQ size cards. I don't know why, because they are curiously small, buy they fascinate me!

The Axianquest deck not only feels better, it is much better to use with random dungeon boards. This deck feels limited in a variety of ways @@bravo320zf

How much is this and can I get it UK without ridiculous delivery like the armoury etc

I think the traps card should be drawn when a player finished their TURN, not their movement. I also think that there was a missed opportunity: the red Xs on the Exploration cards indicate "enemy group 1" but on the Enemy cards "enemy group 1" is grey? I get that the color coding for standard HQ is grey = dread warriors & the gargoyle; white = skeletons, zombies, &mummies, green = orcs, goblins, & abominations. But at least the TEXT or the back ground of the card could have been color coded to match the red and blue Xs. Might have made it a bit more intuitive. Just my opinion. I own this and LOVE it. So not complaining. Just some constructive criticism for how I think it could be improved.

Have you ever seen a hero quest type neoprene game mat?

Yes - I have several of them, notably the one on the table in this vid is the Broadsword, a mat from Ian Schofield's Beautiful Dungeon Mat series.

Hm, it is very likely for me to produce more of those cards for my games. It looks as if they are very well-suited for solo games so I'm happy I bought the deck. But with the HQCC it should be easy to build new cards for your own deck. Especially as I know many GMs who have inserted their own homebrew Monsters etc. into their game. I personally use Advanced Armoury, Axian, and several other 3rd party's stuff and have printed several "neutral" back sides to put into the respective sleeves so I can mix the cards...

What’s the point of searching for traps at all with this system? It seems like if a trap card is drawn after movement, why even bother searching for one.
@AshQuest4 ай бұрын
That's one of my criticisms of it too. It's a bit clunky in regards to traps.
@lizuren4 ай бұрын
Because if you search for traps in a room or a corridor, the heroes don’t have to draw a Trap card after the end of their movement in that zone.

This uses a Hero and a Quest....hmmm... 🤔 ...Oh! We use the Darkworld board game! Nice! For a moment, I assume it was for HeroQuest! As for the cards, it feels like it takes away the imagination of dungeon building and also very over engineered imo. Good quest ideas, but he rules and group monsters are horrible.
