Tnx for showing camera app in details - it's hard to get those shots. I think it would be great if you show camera app of each device also when you are making camera review. Also sugestion for your Ranking list ► When comparing phones you have also column for 'Camera UI' and 'Extra Features', but it's hard to know what exatly mean that score. It would be great if there was also another column 'comentar' (or 'notes' or something like that) that would explain shortly why such score?

Hi! I read somewhere that this model doesn't offer a 16:9 aspect ratio in photos. Here at 4:41 I see confirmation of these comments. I know that I can crop it myself later, but it puts me off a bit - it's hard to believe that Honor doesn't provide this option by default in a such expensive photo model. Could this be a matter of an update, or does Honor not plan to enable it? Regards!

@andrzejborola5929 Until you mentioned it, I hadn't realised you couldn't do 16:9 aspect ratio photos. Yes I was wondering what it meant by "Full screen" in the review. I now assume that means 19.7:9, which is what I understand the screen is. That's an amazing omission I think, to support 16:9 in video but not photos. I have been so impressed with what I'd read about the Honor Magic 6 Pro, and in the UK it's at an amazing £729.99 at the moment, so I was going to treat myself as an upgrade from my 3 year old Samsung A72. But the omission of 16:9 photos has made me think again, and I'll probably stick with my Samsung A72 for now. Many thanks for pointing that out!

Hi, Do you also have color anomalies from time to time in x2 portrait mode with HDR activated? With the x2.5 zoom I sometimes have post-processing that goes wrong (dull color). I also find the shutter a little slower in auto mode than the magic 5 pro especially with HDR activated.

Yeah there's no way it deserves the top spot lol. The main sensor looks really great with most shots, so that's awesome but that telephoto is a huge fail IMO looks pretty bad at 10x and beyond and the ultra wide is the Samsung JN1 very small sensor. I think it would be pretty lucky to be in the top 5 realistically.. and I'm not saying that as a hater

@@dimitarapostolov937 😂 nah not a hater, I actually bought the phone in the UK on the pre sale for 849, but I compared it to the Oppo find x7 ultra that I imported and ended up returning the Honor! It takes great main sensor shots, and the 2.5x and 5x telephoto looks good but past that it falls apart really quickly, and the ultra wide only looked good in perfect lighting conditions. I had it for a week and returned it for a refund. Not a bad phone but I just preferred the Oppo!!

Hello. I also have a question about the Honor magic 6 pro. When taking a photo, why doesn't it switch to automatic portrait mode when I want to take a close-up picture of a person?? Because those from Huawei automatically detected portrait mode.

I think you have the Chinese model right? The Trader Shenzen link in the description, it's currently selling for just for $900. Still a lot and a bit of a gamble for a US buyer like me, by gamble I mean in terms of cell band compatibility here in the US on T-Mobile. I do like the phone overall though but I've become a sort of Pixel snob and do love a lot of the Pixel exclusives. Maybe if it was like $700 I'd be willing to try it out. All the adjustment settings in the "photo mode" once set as u had shown, will they be in default settings?

Settings reset most of the time. Pro mode shouldn't reset

I use Honor Magic 6 Pro.china Version.I have been suffering from a problem for some time. When I click many portrait pictures.After some time, no more portrait photos.Photos are clicked only in normal mode.And when the phone cools down after a while, I can take portrait again.

@@fendykusumohadi Both have excellent chinese os versions. I honestly cannot decide between both only based on that. Macro capability is basically the same on both. Though the 4.3x tele on Vivo gives you a more dramatic look for sure

@@fendykusumohadi Updates I don't know. Honor will have more maybe especially if they follow the global model. As for running hot and battery life. I did not have the chance to test their battery life fairly (as one only has a SIM inside currently) Running hot is not an issue on both for every day tasks

I really dont understand, why it does not have 16:9 ratio. Phone without this is useless for me. PC monitor has 16:9, TV has 16:9, projector has 16:9 - this is places for viewing photos. Why is default 4:3, CRT TV from 1990s or 22:9 (or something like this)....

The sensor has 4:3 and 16:9 would crop too much into it I guess. But you get something similiar with full screen aspect ratio option.

@@lltechview I know that sensor has 4:3 ratio, but if there is no problem with crop to 21(22):9, why not something between - 16:9, most common ratio. This is why I have to choose Samsung all time, because Huawei and many other brands has the same problem. I use PC and TV for viewing photos and then with this phones I have to decide - big black bar left right (4:3) or up and down (21:9)...

I have this phone. The camera is really first class - very impressed by it. My son has a Pixel 8 Pro and, side by side, the magic 6 Pro blows it away in every type of photo. However, the software & UI on this magic 6 Pro phone are terrible. Never had a phone with so many software bugs. Frustrating to no end. Notifications are hit and miss, video playback is inconsistent at best, apps crash regularly & stop working until they've been uninstall Ed & reinstalled, does not work well with third party home launchers, fingerprint sensor is poor, gestures inconsistent. It's getting close to the stage when the camera won't keep me interested any more.
