Hope you don't take offense - much of the commentary was tongue in cheek. I deliberately cut-out the part where you concede that blockers can be important and that the main issue is that some people overprioritize them (I've said the same thing), so I understand that your position is more nuanced than what I am projecting by the video. I just find it entertaining to stoke the GTO v. Exploitative flames (and I think you do too :))

I don't believe either in those bs "solvers", as if poker were a game like chess.. Like it's suppose to give answers what u should do in given situations, I assume. But the thing is, in a hand u usually don't know your opponents cards, neither do u know what will come on the turn or river (ok u can calculate odds there but still). Or for example when it says you should "call 30% of the time in that spot" lol, so what exactly does that mean, in a unique situation? Or am I missing something..
@synchronium243 жыл бұрын
@@bekeneel The beauty of playing GTO (or the closest approximation of it we have with solvers) is that you don't need to know your opponent's strategy. The best your opponent can do is play the same strategy, and any deviation they make from it will lose them money. "But the thing is, in a hand u usually don't know your opponents cards, neither do u know what will come on the turn or river (ok u can calculate odds there but still)." Solvers address both of these complications by running anywhere from millions to trillions of simulations (depending on the complexity of the spot).

People are so dumb. Yes, he is going to play close to GTO against a GTO player. And yes of course he is going to exploit weaker players since it's the superior strategy against unbalanced players. GTO is NOT the best strategy vs fish! And that's where you make money in poker! Guess what, if you play 6max vs 5 GTO players all of you are going to lose money long term! So the best possible strategie in poker is an exploitative style VS fish and GTO vs great players(if you have to play them!).
