welcome to Chiang Mai living here for over 2 years now, and love it ... I live just out past the '2nd ring Highway' where it's far more traditional Northern Thailand. hate to be 'that guy', but two things: 1: you need (should, no one's going to arrest you, although they may ask you to leave, depending on the temple) cover your shoulders when you go into a temple. 2: it's pronounced more like 'Chee iang Mai' and not 'Chang Mai'. 'Chiang' I'm told is old Lanna Thai language for 'city', and 'Mai' means 'New' (ie. New city ... long story on that one.) where as 'Chang' means 'elephant'. :-)

Really enjoying your videos. 99 Gallery looks really nice. I'll put it on my list for Nov. Just one suggestion. I'm finding that I have to watch your videos with the remote in hand to adjust the volume when I watch on TV. I have no idea what is involved in producing videos but if there is anyway to have the music and dialogue at the same volume, that would be very helpful. The music is always much louder than the dialogue. Otherwise, your videos are very enjoyable.

Without the temples of the unique Thai style inserted in many cities in Thailand, I found it hard to know precisely whether you are in a locality in VN or Thailand. Oh, the noodle soups you presented are distinguishable from VN counterparts. You are in VN now, in HCM city; I just hope you will find many yummy dishes on the streets as well as in restaurants. I hope you'll spend time in many more cities along the coast which are less chaotic than HCM and have a wonderful time there. Welcome to VN.

I may be in minority, but when I was in Chang Mai back in 2019 I did bot like it as much, the air quality was HORRIBLE. And I missed the sea breeze of the coast areas. It has it’s charms, and maybe I should give it more than 10 days. Bangkok left a better impression, personally. That Khao soi tho? Delicious :) Also we enjoyed the bamboo rafting in the mountains.

I could totally understand your final comments if you’d just stuck to talking about beaches but the implication that CM doesn’t have mountains and is mostly a city…really? If you sample any of 1000s of vlogs about CM all of them will highlight the fact that it is completely surrounded by mountains. I live in the “city” (read large village) and all I can see from my window is mountains. Within 20 minutes ride in most directions you are high in the mountains and in well under an hour you can be in places where all you see is mountain ranges stretching off into the distance.
