my advice as an Indonesian: regarding dengue fever mosquitoes come out and suck blood only during the day not at night, so use mosquito cream regularly during the day

Hey Ranjeet! We've found the best way to meet people is to stay at guest houses or to join group classes! Lloyd does Jiu jitzu and Mandy does yoga and we've met many people this way. My introduction to Indonesia was the chaos known as Jakarta, but Kuta remains the only place in Asia where I've been physically accosted by a shop owner.Even pre-pandemic, there was a level of desperation that stunned me. I had some persistent beggars in Cambodia but no-one laid a hand on me.

Great video, agree with all of these. Also something most people don't know is that you can open a local bank account on a b211a visa. You just need a recommendation letter from your visa agent, and they connect you with a local bank who can set it all up. Means you can get the best rates and no transactions fees anywhere in Indonesia by transferring from transferwise to indo bank account.

Membawa Paspor asli yang masih berlaku 3. Kartu Izin Menetap Sementara atau Kartu Izin Menetap Tetap yang asli dan masih berlaku 4. Membawa uang untuk setoran awal sebesar Rp.500.000 Who did you open an account with? Mainstream banks will even require KITAS holders to present their new KITAS every year. Permata are particularly strict requiring head office approval...Mandiri you may get away with, but you deserve all you get if you open and account with Mandiri. Do remember just because it can happen doesn't mean it is in accordance with the law - this is Indonesia, an account that has been opened can just as quickly be shut. Get a kamus, English Indonesian dictionary, just a pocket one and there is no worry about flat batteries. Used it in the 1990s and picked up a useful amount of bahasa Indonesia pretty easily.

awesome information, having visited many, many times, I always travel with Betadine lotion, kills all bugs that get into cut skin. Travelan, always for gut issues, Lugol's Iodine is also a good 100% kill of any bacteria, ear plugs, a must. as you said, cash, always, dont change money in doggy spots. Insurance saved me when I had 5 days in hospital, ambulance and all things. Awesome info you give.

One really important one came to mind while I watched this. Scooters are a cheap and tempting way to get around but make sure you're fully licenced, wear a helmet and check your insurance. Accidents happen and you don't want to be stuck in Bali on life support.

For the Sim card, does your phone have to be fully paid off? Because if your phone has a carrier lock, I assume it wouldn’t work. Can you buy a cheap phone there and add a Sim card to it? I have a VPN and I’m also wondering if they have portable Wi-Fi or if that something you’d have to get before hand
