Owner of the Impreza here! Unfortunately just a regular WRX and not an STi (think only the bugeyes had an STi wagon), but spot on about 03 being the first year for the blobeye. Thanks for giving the car some airtime, and not pointing out all the dents ;)

I think that is the part of ethos of Rustival. It doesn't matter what a car is or what condition it is in, everything is welcome (although we don't discuss certain cars on tis channel). I felt no shame in bringing the Volvo S40 as a substitute for my 1989 Nissan Sunny (still awaiting a new engine to be fitted) and parking it in the same place as many more interesting cars, even if understandably most people walked straight past it. Anyway, I have only ever driven the next generation of Impreza (one normally aspirated 2.0 R and then a WRX STi, both from 2008), so I am intrigued by the early Blob Eye....

This is always my go-to channel. I appreciate the hard work that goes into attending these events and the time you take in sharing your knowledge.

Glad you enjoyed it, sir! Only one more part to go from this event, and then we will be straight into the event from the next day in Milton Keynes.

I did spot your Volvo, sir whilst and a nice looking steed it indeed is. And I also noticed the Korando which I thought you'd appreciate! A rare beast.
@lloydvehicleconsulting3 ай бұрын
Sir, the Korando was extremely exciting. SsangYong really have had some crazy ideas over the years....

Good to see Richard's Honda Accord, really enjoy seeing it when I am at shows or socials. The Korando was a lovely sight to see. The solara belongs to a member of the Scottish Region of the GCCG, have had a look at this recently at one of their meets. £800 for a Mark 6.5 Fiesta?? Hmm that's tempting to say the least. Do love the Mark 1 Octavia vRS, my mother in law had one (not that it was ever driven enthusiastically unless my brother in law was behind the wheel 😂😂) Another fantastic shuffle sir, cannot believe you have one part left. Got to say Mayfair Parking had some Gems, may have to park there if there is a Rustival 3

Sir, we thought that Fiesta seemed quite reasonably priced. The Mayfair area was quieter than the Vanden Plas area, but I quite enjoyed it that way. Richard's Accord is indeed an absolute delight, one of the best modern cars I ever filmed. The Solara was...sublime!

Whoa, love that Citroen CX at the end. I'd love a series 1. Really liking the Cortina mark 3s and the Vauxhall VX 2300 (an early VX on a P reg). Great Honda and Fiat Punto s too. (Hopefully I have avoided attaching my comment underneath someone else's comment this time!)
@lloydvehicleconsulting3 ай бұрын
Yes, sir, comment came through fine this time. Some very nice cars in this section, the Mayfair and Vanden Plas areas were both excellent. The VX 2300 was a real rarity.

Pick of this part - Talbot Solara Series 2 GL. Honourable mentions - Peugeot 309 GL 'Special Equipment', Fiat Punto S Mk1, Vauxhall VX2300, Austin Vanden Plas 1.5. Thank you, sir!

Sir, we aim to please, as always! The Solara was absolutely delightful, and it was a pleasure to see the Punto once again.

The Astramax had a boxier shape at the back rather than being like the estate without windows.

Oh yes, of course! I remember now. Thank you ever so much indeed for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it.

@@lloydvehicleconsulting I’m not sure why I knew that myself. I really like your in depth videos. I had a chat with the Marcos owner, he said it was bought as a kit and the engine was a 6 cylinder taken out of a Triumph 2000.

Glad you enjoyed the Slightly Shambolic Shuffle! I have been educated and informed... Just uploaded three videos from the British Leyland Autumn Rally, which happened the day after the event at Gaydon Didn't realise they made a Marcos with the Triumph straight six!

Sir the Mk3 Cortina should always have had a 3 litre V6. Those little rear engined Skodas were very popular towards the end of the 1980s because every local Skoda Dealer was absolutely superb with regard to customer service and aftercare. Many owners came back for a second and third Skoda. The 130 LSE 5 speed with vinyl roof was particularly attractive. The Mk1 Fiat Uno was a fantastic small car with fabulous engines, great handling and hige interior space. Oh Sir you found Sid James's Yellow Mk3 Cortina 1.6 L from "Bless This House."
@lloydvehicleconsulting3 ай бұрын
Sir, we did indeed find a very similar Cortina to the one Sid James drove in "Bless This House"! I would quite like to have a go in one of those Estelles at some point, and the Fiat Uno is on the list as well, don't worry.
