This is no joke but, since i watch this channel i really became a fan of beige leather interiors. And it became a must have! For my next car! 1 year ago the time for my next car was there! And i was in a bmw dealership just walking around in the used car area. And there it was! A brown metallic 2016 BMW 218i active tourer with a beige leather interior! and heated seat and a automatic transmission ! Sold!

We do enjoy an S-Type with a beige leather interior, sir. In fact, we like any petrol powered car with a beige leather interior, especially one with wood.

Someday I will find a well cared for Fiat Panda 1000 or 1100 CLX. I would actually swap a beautiful Capri for a 1979 to 1980 Lincoln Continental with 7.5 litre engine, yes please. Great to see a well cared for Lada Riva a car with an amazing story behind it. I think that Mitsuoka Galue was based on a Primera but I am probably quite wrong. We do like a Maxi 1750 HL Sir. A Rover 216 SX I have never seen before.

Sir, we will be seeing that Rover 216 SX again very soon... I don't know if anyone else will share your opinion about the Lincoln Town Car versus the Capri, but it is interesting nevertheless! The Mitsuoka was very interesting.

I always get intrigued when I see strange things like that generation of Golf Cabriolet, as it is obviously a Mark III with the Mark IV front end. It is like they couldn't be bothered to make a new one! I would be curious enough to try one, I think. There were a few of us who tried to film everything, Ian Seabrook had less time than I did, quite understandably, so his video looks a bit more rushed, but is technically much better, whereas I did what I normally do, and took my time, spreading it over several parts.
@Shane-hy6qp2 ай бұрын
@@lloydvehicleconsulting yeh it's weird really it's a mk3 underneath I was told a mk4 front end won't fit this cabriolet apparently wings or bumper are different or both but not 100% sure on that strange though when it looks like a mk4. It's actually fun to drive but i don't do many miles in it because i have few cars which if rustival on again i will try and bring more of my cars next time. But had the golf cabriolet a long time and done so much to it get a lot of hate about the wheels but i like it. Yeh it nice when channels like yours show a interest in cars like mine that majority of people will just walk straight past it
@lloydvehicleconsulting2 ай бұрын
It takes a lot more time to cover everything, but that is the way we do things round there. Funny if it genuinely isn't an entire Mark IV front end! Interior looks very similar to the Mark IV too.

Another fantastic shuffle as always Sir. I too got confused about the Fiesta Sun Ray if it was a genuine one as the brochure on the dash appeared to show a later Fiesta. Going to be biased but there was a few nice Smarts on display in this part.

One of the few KZbin channels to actually mention my car (the silver Saab 9-3 at the end of the video) it is actually a bit poorly at the moment as the ECU was failing i took it off the road as soon as we got back home that night and I'm waiting for the new ECU to arrive. The car is also not stadard, the rear lights are from a face-lift 9-3 ive retro fitted switch back front indicators and DRL's, obviously the wheels are after market ive done a couple of other bits (mainly for driver comfort). Once ive sorted out a few bits I'm hoping it'll be a decent example of the breed
@lloydvehicleconsulting2 ай бұрын
Yes, I am one of the few people insane enough to cover everything (with one important exception), which does take a long time, but it does mean an extremely accurate record of the day. I drove a 2007 9-3 Convertible in 2021, and I quite liked it actually. Are ECU failures common on these cars?
@mpainter222 ай бұрын
@lloydvehicleconsulting unfortunately, yes on the 2.0 petrol engine. The ECU is mounted on top of the inlet manifold with a plastic "vanity" cover over it. There are steps you can take (such as fittinga spacer kit betweentheECU and the mou ting point, but unfortunately it's just a matter of time before it starts to fail and then it's a case of either spending the money to sort it, or the most likely option which is scrapping the car, there are people who can sort them out but it's a £400+ repair
@lloydvehicleconsulting2 ай бұрын
That's a really poor design. No wonder so many of these 9-3s are getting scrapped. The one I drove was badged as a 1.8t, but I understand that they are still the 2.0 engine.
@mpainter222 ай бұрын
@lloydvehicleconsulting yep, it's a different map in the ecu, the 2.0 Aero has a different Turbocharger and injectors but that's basically it, they're all essentially the same. The B207E is badged as a 1.8t with 150bhp, the B207L is badged as a 2.0t had 175bhp and the B207R which is the one in the Aero had 210bhp, a simple remap can bring a 1.8t up to similar HP as a standard Aero, same with the 2.0t, the B207R was actually good for 250bhp without touching the internals
@lloydvehicleconsulting2 ай бұрын
Saab were always very keen on using as few basic engines as possible and just tuning them to different power levels, it seems! It was the same thing with the first generation 9-5 and 9-3, although both did also get a 2.3 version and the 9-5 had the rare V6. This is the GM 2.0 engine, though, isn't it?
