So, this car came to me with the complaint that would count out/shut off under load or acceleration... if driven calmly would actually go...
When cutting out, would restart ok, or so I was told...
On the ECU, most trouble codes pointed to a fuel supply issue...
After some investigation, testing and visual inspection, problem found!
And, was not good news, at least, not for the owner!...

Hello, Yesterday i changed the fuel filter with new one marked STARK, then i have done the bleeding with obd scan tool, but now i have two errors: 4bdc, 4bda (low fuel pressure) The fuel pressure is about 3100 hpa, the car is regularly working What is the problem? What i need to check? Thank you very much

good morning Luis had one just the same the owner sold the car for scrap as the metal particals were all through the car in all fuel lines injectors fuel tank and in tank pump the cost to replace all with labour was more than the car was worth

Great upload Luis is the leak back on the injectors a common cause for a extended crank before it fires ? keep the camera rolling

It can be... as the excessive back leak means the rail takes longer to reach the pressure... But other issues can cause the long cranking... just bear that in mind... 👍👍👍

Good job there. Though that car somehow oozes of neglected care. Interior, those door hinges and if I saw correctly even tires seemed to be toasted. I'm quite surprised that owner still wanted to repair that. Well I suppose mileage isn't bad on that. But I somehow suspect that the tank and linest aren't going to be flushed. I think it'll be case of "It's fine with changing filter few times". Which would be really bad idea. I hope I'm wrong.

I know... I stressed as much as I could yhe importance of flushing the tank etc... Up to the owner after that... I left a few marks that would have to disappear if the tank was removed... just in case... 😋 👍👍👍

Hey, I have seen this before. What I find usually happens, and why these pumps fail so much, is because the owner drives the tank almost empty, causing a lack of lubrication in the high-pressure fuel pump

Hi can I say I’ve just replaced 1 injector on a Vw beetle 1600 cc . Not an oem part aftermarket ok , so put it in coded it all fine but on start up it was tapping. So I asked around and everyone said to put an oem injector . So the point is have you come across this problem.

No... never came across anything like that, but I agreed, that aftermarket parts are a hit and miss... 👍👍👍

Hello I’ve changed glow plug module on my e90 cause I had codes for all of them ,all codes went away but do I need to code anything ??

No... No need coding... The glow plug module is on a LIN bus connection with the engine ecu... 👍👍👍

N47 have CP4 pump that if car is remapped works with even higher pressures. This pumps with one head is in limit for this car with 140bhp when he left the factory. Will break again with swarfs. If 80kmiles is original soon there will be timing chain and flywheel. Engine removal is required for that work. This car is already money pit if nothing else fails.

So much money spend on old bmw 😮. Next problem is snaped timing chane, clutch, turbo and so on. Its will cost more then twice new one.

I've owned one diesel BMW and it's absolutely going to be my last one. It's timing failed at around 300tkm's, which imo is piss poor for any Diesel engine to fail. Not to mention how expensive suspension components etc. were. In addition they weren't even robust components. All-in-all hands down the worst car I've ever owned. If I ever buy BMW it's likely going to be convertible or something like that. But sure as hell I'll never buy one as daily driver anymore.

By just crank it... Sometimes they back leak that bad that by just cranking it is enough to make conclusions... Obviously I didn't know what o would find... just trying... 😁
