I could see why Trina is a daddy's girl. I'm so glad she has Taggert in her life and the fact that he's keeping it real. Well said. I'm glad there are some here that see how toxic Portia is. Normalizing emotional abuse is foul on all levels. Do people even know what emotional abuse is or looks like? Do they even know the signs, or what to look for? Do they realize the devastating consequences of being raised by one of these toxic entities? The long term of effects not just emotionally, but mentally and physically. That chronic illnesses can stem from emotional abuse. Anxiety, Hypervigilance, CPTSD are what a majority of adults today are going through because of parents like Portia. And she's just the tip of the iceberg. There are those who are even worse. Whew, full stop! Red flags all over the place. It was a guilt trip to say "hey you couldn't help before but maybe you still can" that was some hardcore manipulation. Portia is spinning a fantasy in her head that Spencer is to blame for it all instead of actually getting to know who Spencer and her daughter really are. She did the exact same thing when she ignored the chance that Curtis could be Trina's father and kept telling herself that Trina was Taggert's, be damned to the reality of the situation. She completely ignored the most important issue that she can't tell her adult daughter what to do, whether they agree with Trina's decision or not. Let's keep it a buck, Trina is the real hero here...If she hadn't snuck on the HS they would have never found Spencer and the rest of them. Liesal wouldn't have made it back to PC to save Weeping Willow. Victor would have succeeded in killing billions of people including everyone in Port Charles, so Portia should be thankful and proud of her daughter. And how is it Spencer's fault that she lied to Trina about who her father may be? Portia is really getting on my nerves at this point. Girl better sit down and listen to what Taggart is saying. Spencer isn't trying to take her daughter away from her. Nor did he tell Trina where he was going or to follow him. She trusted her gut and goo thing she did. Trina could run the entire PCPD by herself! I have a feeling that there's going to be some sort of mix-up with this blood test to see who is Trina's dad.

Taggert is literally giving her the play by play on how to handle this situation, but all she's doing is whining. You don't have to like it, Portia, but you're going to have to accept it. I really hope Taggert is Trina's biological father but even if he isnt, he will always be her dad. Taggert knows how strong willed his daughter is and can handle herself. Portia's strained relationship with Trina is her own fault and she had the audacity to try to have Taggert risk his relationship with Trina because she wants to tell her adult daughter who she can or can not see. Portia has been really judgmental of people but isnt really in a position to be throwing stones when she had an affair and didnt know who the daddy of her baby was. I like Spencer but Portias concerns about Spencer is not without merit. Spencer has bad instincts and he is not learning and growing from them. He us still making the same mistakes over and over. So yeah Trinas parents might go about it the wrong way. Until Spencer shows that he is learning from his mistakes they are justified in being concerned about their daughter.
