When people tell me "But I don't play LoL!" when I recommend them this show, I answer with "I wish I didn't!" I think that this show is even better if you know nothing about League. There is something nice in recognizing characters, easter eggs, etc, but the tension and the reveals are so much more powerful when you don't know anything about the lore.

Honestly I guessed before. We see in season 1, episode 9, singed in his workshop with a huge beast hanging over even then. The only thing close to it we've seen at that point is Vander. Singed was in the factory that "killed Vander. Put two and two together. Plus they showed the creation of Warwick with such purpose at the end of each episode. I guess it's not "obvious" but you should suspect something at least is not what it seems

It was confirmed even more in the S1 finale where we see Singed (mad scientist guy) in his lab with a werewolf-life monster hanging above. I'M SO GLAD the Warwick subtitle didn't confuse you.

I also think people were thinking it bc Vander's character fit really good with some of Warwick's lines on the game, like the ones directed to Vi and stuff. I was also wondering if they ever say Warwick this season or just call him Vander/beast, but at least it is in the subtitles.

Warwick being made from Vander's "lifeless" body was the number one fan theory of Season 1. The theory was based on connecting all the dots from Warwick's voice lines in the game, to his written lore on Riot's League universe website, to the subtle hints sprinkled throughout the show (e.g., Vander being called the "Hound of the Underground", his Shimmer-filled body just lying there for Singed to take into his lab, etc.).

@@xaviermm5506 Not gonna lie, you spamming the same shit is kinda funny. For me ep6 was peak drama/conflict. Jayce's act and Isha's incredibly brave, but stupid naive sacrifice (she was a ticking monkey-bomb) made the characters back on tragic track without hurting their previous growth, and act3 was a fantastic resolution and great setup for whats to come. Wonder where Jinx gonna turn up after Piltover...

it's objectively not 😂 they literally just threw away whatever they had going in S1 to make Jinx the irredeemable "Loose Cannon" that she should've been in place of a generic pisspoorly-written mentally unstable sadgirl. Season 2 genuinely felt like it was written by amateurs, then lo and behold, i was fucking right since it's been confirmed that only 3 people wrote for season instead of an entire team in S1.

@@northberg3897 I kinda agree, but since it was so rushed, the whole didn't have as much impact as I thought I would. Of course we could see some impact in episode 8 but not as much as it deserved. Besides, I'm also quoting what LM said (which I also agree). Wait till ep 6 to hear their full thoughts on the episode. Besides, her "sacrifice" didn't accomplish anything so what was the point 😢? Just to be tragic. And she is a freaking kid! The only problem in the episode is Isha (and Caitlin), the other things are great. What you said, Viktor, Jayce, Singed, Ambessa... I guess your frustration from my comments come bc I only focused on "the bad thing" of the episode and I haven't talked about the good things as well! Act 2 is the best act of the whole show, easy.

The man who created the "monster" is named Singed. He was seen throughout season 1. In Act 1,Season 1, he was working with Silco. We see him expirementing with Shimmer, giving it to a rat test subject who then kills a cat, more than double the rats size. Later we see him caught in the explosion Powder creates in the factory. In Act 2 Viktor approaches him in hopes to find a cure for his disease/sickness. We learn when Viktor was a child they had met, with an animal alongside Singed, called Rio. Singed and child Viktor decide to work together to help save Rio. Little did Viktor know the first form of Shimmer came from Rio herself. In Act 3 of season 1, episode 9, we see Singed sitting in his lab, looking at a locket, then to a huge beast hanging in his lab. He also saves Jinx by injecting her with shimmer after using a bomb on herself and Ekko.

As far as voice actors are concerned, you may not know that the voice actor for Vander is the doctor in Breaking Bad, the one that saves Gus after his poison and whatnot.

I love your analysis and banter during your videos. And yeah, that one guy you were confused about is Singed. He was the guy that created the drug, Shimmer. He befriended Viktor when Viktor was young. He used to be an assistant to Heimerdinger and was expelled from the academy. He served Silco for a long time. He was the one who revived Jinx with Shimmer after she blew herself up during the bridge fight with with Ekko. And now he's also the guy who took Vander after his accident and werewolfed him into Warwick. He's kind of a big deal, despite his name never being said in the show.

In the last time skip they didn't clarify how much time had passed either, I think it mostly has to do with how in some lore of the game you can tell the time in their universe doesn't work as in ours, which they said is the reason why they also avoid saying that many characters' ages on the show. Season 1's time skip was created with a 6-7 years thing in mind, they said this one like a 3 to 6 months.

Great react, Anyone who plays the games, or just reads the game's stories, knew he would be Warwick since the first episode of the first season. As soon as they say that Vander is known as the city wolf, and we know that Warrick is a wolf and an experiment, we put 2 with + 2. It would also be really cool if you reacted to the League of Legends trailers on KZbin. I know you only react to series, but it would be really cool to just react to League of Legends trailer animations once. It must be more than 2 hours of animations just showing the world and more characters. The trailers are usually 5 minutes at most, and the last trailer that was released gives a clue to the events of the end of the second season of Arcane.

You two need to go back and re-watch the montage at the end of the 1st season while the 'Monster You Made Me' song is playing... they show Singed looking at a locket while sitting in his workshop, but in that same shot, if you look, you'll realize that Vander's body is hanging there and you're looking in over his shoulder...

The most we get from this in season 1 is a hint to Singed having a beast in the last episode in the last seconds, it was definitely something for the gamers to point out.

Season 2 for all its technical brillance and great emotional beats, still feels like they rushed it to the finish line, had simply too many threads to follow up from and decided not to or get them quickly with the opening vignettes. That was dissatisfying. Still a solid 9.5, but that's the .5 that they missed due to limiting themselves to just 2 Seasons.

I think she figured it out, it’s an unspoken thing. Don’t ask don’t tell. Sevika’s super sharp. We get kinda the wrong impression from her in season 1 but going back she always defends jinx and cleans up her mess and when Vi comes back she tries to protect Silco and Jinx’s dynamic by telling Silco she’s back first thing. She doesn’t immediately think ‘oh perfect this is how I get rid of jinx’. Sevika sees the bigger picture. She’s known Jinx was a loose canon getting people killed from the start-and she still sticks her neck out for her

49:46 this is basically was explored with Caitlyn herself in season 1, her whole evolution and with hers Vi's and their union representing both sides ofc. Her ignorance thanks to where and how she was raised, how regular people from Piltover don't know how things really are down there, how bad everything is. She learns, gains perspective and once there realizes how wrong things are being done and how that needs to change. Even when she talks with Ekko, Vi has to intervene and tell him "she truly believes what she says" bc even she recognizes it is not her fault (after a time with her, since she was also the first one to hate on her and say she was just like everyone else for not understanding and saying the stuff she said) and values how she challeges her whole life mindset and receives all this new information like to understand better and once seeing reality want to help, even using her connections to make the situation more public and ask for change. So yeah, it is something the show touches on and talks about a lot, it's not touched just a bit, we went deep into it, it's just that you have blurry memories from season 1 bc of how long ago you watched it, it makes sense.

We didn't see that dictator facet that the trailer intended, we continued to see that princess hurt by the death of her mother. Jinx finally finds her shaft and is afraid after a lot of hating, she knows that Caytlin will put a hole in her head at the first opportunity even though Isha is by her side and Vi is no longer there to stop her, she already did it twice. Singeed finally shows his game, this guy really scares me. He pulled out the knife so they could see him as a threat and take him to Stillwater. Who do you want to talk to, who are you looking for? You already have your attention. Ambessa seeks to combat the Black Rose. Where is Mel, Jayce, Vi, Ekko and Heimedinger? Is Victor the healer that Sest mentioned to Salo? I have no doubt. Salo is going to see Victor
