This is the first video edited by our new editor. I gave her pretty much the freedom to do as she saw fit. What are your thoughts?? Edit: sounds like the general consensus is to remove the background music and perhaps keep that to strictly timelapses. Other than that what did you think of the style of editing?

Your new editor is good to go. If she is going to use music, some like it, some hate it. Myself I can take it or leave it. Personally I don't care too much for the type she used in this video. I like it softer and smoother. Miss Amy Flake does the editing and music for Rodeo Reed channel she also does music at rodeos when Reed is announcing. I would suggest your lady contacting Miss Amy Flake for some suggestions. They are Reed and Amy Flake Snowflake, Arizona. She can be contacted via Facebook or their business email that info is on their vlog. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oavRgJVtZ8ukrtE PS: the old style boomers are scary, like a handy man jack, you might lose some teeth.

All I gotta say is please be careful under those I-beams. You guys do amazing work and recoveries. I'd hate to see someone get hurt because the tie down chan's let go.

Totally agree. Sometimes we have to put ourselves in dangerous situations but we absolutely try to minimize that if possible. Unfortunately sometimes it’s unavoidable. Thank you for watching!

It' amazing the rear trailer tires didn't break their bead in he roll over OR in the lift. A testiment to todays tires.

I’ve been pulling flatbed since 03. Seeing that winch bar flying out and hit your rotator is the exact reason it’s ignorant to use those old style snap binders. Ez-over/recoil-less binders may be twice the cost but infinitely safer to everyone.

Trent & Editor - This is likely the shortest post I have seen. But you did get down to business without a lot of walking around and surveying the field of battle. This is nice, we can see what you did and how you did it without an hour of watching walking back and forth with chains and fittings. I like it. Yes, No music, just the sounds of your conversations and the inevitable rattle of chains. Very nicely done. This format - maybe up to 25 minutes in length, makes it all interesting. Trent, you seemed to take a back seat in this one. I think we would all appreciate hearing more of your input into the situation. %0 years in business. I guess we can assume you will make that 75, right?

Boss: so you rolled my damn truck?! Employee: well technically I didn't roll the truck
@jerrykinnin79413 жыл бұрын
Glad to see yall back. From my eyes cause of wreck was load shift due to excessive speed in the corner. And the load was not hogtied and braced with chocks on the cross timbers. Check the computer in the truck. The load moved so it was loaded wrong. Is an overly simplistic rule. But a good rule to live by.

Sir Trent ,, Trent JR. & Darrel !! Great recovery with NO more issues with the load being ""LOST"" to the ground !!! Good it was tied with ""CHAINS "" & NO straps !!! Editing was Great from My stand point !! Back ground music DIDN'T interfere with hearing what was being said !! Till next time """KEEP IT SAFE ""!!!

Lucky driver , if he had only secured his load properly he wouldn't have almost totaled his truck , damage his trailer and have extremely heavy beams scattered on the highway . Duh . Great video and great to see you working , both of y'all did a great recovery .

The most fundamental issue about the videos that made me subscribe to Plaza Towing in the first place was that I and any other looker could see what was going on. I and so many others are interested primarily in in the decisions you reach, in the mechanical things you need to do to put all that into action, and in the ways in which you achieve your objectives. Music (I'm a professional musician) has nothing to to contribute to all that. Kill it!! The drivers, the folks who have to make decisions on the ground - it's their voices that matter. And the films of their actions, as might be appropriate. Thank you!
@wideslammer3 жыл бұрын
I wonder if the trailer beams are "sprung" from the twisting and will have uneven weight on each side of the tandems -- or even worse have one side off the ground -- when the beams are unloaded.

Hey, I definitely liked the video. Have to agree that the music was a little loud at times but other than that I’ll give it a 👍. Why the hell weren’t those beams belly wrapped? Even after doing it again he still didn’t do it. It takes an extra minute or two but I guess it makes more work for the tow truck drivers.

Hey! I’m curious why you didn’t put boards under the extendable feet of your wrecker. I’ve seen Ron Platt do that in his videos. He said he does to prevent the feet from depressing into the pavement under heavy stress by dispersing the weight over a wider area of the pavement.

Now I have seen something like this when I was younger as in 9 or 10 years old. Although the trailer broke in two, right in front of the axles on the trailer. Now we were not there for the broken trailer. We were there to recover the car that the huge I beams crashed. Oh and yes more than one person had a really bad day, on that day...
@marc74913 жыл бұрын
Hard to believe that he is hauling 60' I-beams and decides to make an illegal U-turn! And to make matters worse, he does it in front of an oncoming vehicle!
@MaxZomboni3 жыл бұрын
I know he said it was an illegal U-turn but I don't see any evidence of that. There is no No U-Turn sign there, and U-Turns are generally allowed everywhere in California except where a sign prohibits it. And that road is wide enough for a truck that size to turn around. It looks to me like the truck just made the U-Turn too fast and the load shifted and tipped.

Tape is to keep the chains in the hooks when they are slack, when you can't physically hold them in there safely until the are needed. Cable/zip ties are also an option.

@kevanhollidge1643 жыл бұрын
Just my opinion, but I'd have secured those steel beams at the trailer end first, going under them was a gamble. Plus those beams where not chained and chocked properly, a piece of timber between the beams and side of trailer, held by the chains. But only my opinion mate...
