I run independent 159s with 1/4 spacers that way i can use the stock mounting hardware, original bearings and dad bods. I push a 60 mile trail often with no issues other than standard foot pains

So dope. Just ordered top risers.
@ericmartin314 ай бұрын
Which ones did you order?
@Human_Evolution-4 ай бұрын
@@ericmartin31 I actually ordered the wrong ones (top mount Paris risers). However, I have a Dremel and simply cut the riser to fit. Pretty easy, like 60 minutes mod.

I use mini logo risers. The cutouts in the last 2 designs they have used make it really easy to cut. Maybe 1 minute with a sawzall or 3 mins with a hand saw for a completed set.

@@SKATEBOARDRIDE very cool. I just searched them. They look cheap and easy. They are made of rubber? The ones I modified are a hard plastic.
@SKATEBOARDRIDE4 ай бұрын
The .1 are rubber shock pads. The others are hard plastic.

*Yewwwh* 🤟🏽🤙🏼🤙🏼🤟🏽 I saw a leaked picture of blue (77a) Dad Bods recently, hope they release them and it's not just a failed test set

I’d try a set. That said, I think orange is their best. Purple is a little too hard for my area and blue chunks a little too easy.
@eBoard3R11 ай бұрын
@@SKATEBOARDRIDE blue does chunk easily, I don't enjoy the orange. the new Boa 90mm V3, at 74a surprised me, it's like a cross between blue and orange orangatangs

I’ve been using Seismic and Orangatang for everything soft and Bones for everything hard for so long because they fill every need I have I forget about other companies. I should probably try something different like Boa once in a while.

Can you make a vid comparing this setup to the valkyrie
@henrilahteenmaki38388 ай бұрын
Hows the construction on the brackets? Are they solid and still intact after several months?
@SKATEBOARDRIDE8 ай бұрын
I’ll bet I have over 1k miles on them, still feel the same. Some scratches and I did take a chunk out the back one making contact with a lip that was a little higher than I thought, hasn’t had any effect other than looks.

You don't happen to have tried bear gen 6 130mm with these brackets and dad bods?
@SKATEBOARDRIDE8 ай бұрын
I have not. I think the narrowest truck I’ve used is some valkyries set up at 135, I like them but had to have them set up pretty tight to work and ended up moving on.

What's the advantage of attaching the wheels like this?
@SKATEBOARDRIDE10 ай бұрын
Make them stick out a touch less. That makes them a little harder to kick accidentally when you’ve been skating for 150 miles and your legs don’t work as good as they did 10 miles in.
