Try to keep your overhead low. I don’t recommend financing your truck and trailer, insurance the first year is very expensive I paid almost 20k.

Hi. Thank you for great content. I am looking to buy a 2019 Kaufman EZ4 and a Dually. 2019 has upgraded 8k axels. Do you recommend it? As for the dually I want to keep the bed as I use the truck for personal use. Would you recommend 2022 RAM 3500 420 HP High output engine with Aisin transmission or a 2024 Chevy Silverado diesel dually. Both are rated for 36000 pounds towing capacity. Can I use the EZ4 with the dually with the bed? Thank you for your advice in advance.

Yes as long as you don’t push the weight limit on your truck. Make sure you’re not overweight on your drive of your truck. I have a KZbin video “How to weigh your truck trailer at a CAT scale” uploaded 3 months ago, will explain in detail. I’m a Dodge person for heavy hauls I like my Dodge. What’s the length on the truck with cab? I have a 84 I recommend a 84 wheel base. When you have a shorter wheel base it adds weight to the steer (front of truck too). Shorter wheel base also needs to be careful trailer doesn’t hit cab of truck when doing u-turns.

What type of truck you got pulling that 4 car trailer? Can a 2006 f350 6.0 diesel dually pull Appalachian micro 4 trailer?

I have a Dodge 5500. Yes it can pull it but it will depend on the weight of the load (you may be overloaded). Check the door of your F350 what is your GVWR for your drive? That is the max weight you can put on the back axle of your truck. In one of our recent videos we went to a CAT scale with a full load (4 vehicles) it explains weight.

Also I got offered a 2020 Ram 5500 same as yours with 19.5 inch rims with a full semi size 5 th wheel hitch and 82k on the miles still under warranty up to 100k. No bed and 2 factory fuel tanks WHATS your take on 3500 with bed vs 5500 no bed? The 2021 RAM 3500 has 5k miles but more money, like $10k more then the 5500. Thanks again

I recommend the Ram 5500. You’ll never have to worry about being overweight and if you ever want to upgrade to five or six cars you’ll already have the truck.

With the Ram 5500 I can use it to pull my toy hauler, utility trailer or RV’s bumper pulls from the auction. I can do more with a 5500.

I just watched the video, Yes same trailer as mine. He had two cars on top deck with it up and nothing in bottom, he was top heavy. Thank you for sending me link, videos are interesting.
