I've had my Gladiators for 3 years and never used them because I didn't know how to set them up despite looking everywhere for information. The information available was either very vague, too confusing, or assumed you already had certain software downloaded to set them up without even linking or saying where said software could be found. This should help a ton of people. Thanks, man. You're awesome for this.

I followed everything to the dot, but only the axes works. I didnt change anything, but the buttons despite it being mapped to its respective numbers, button 1 gets inputted as button 31 in the input viewer. i tested it in game, none of the buttons work, id assume its because JG detects the input of button 1, 2, 3 as an input for button 31, 32, 33 instead. Not sure what i did wrong here...

At the bottom of the JG app what "mode" is there by default? It seems like the default mode isn't default is "modifier". Or it could be other things. YT is not a good place for me to help troubleshoot. Getting notifications for comments here is hard. Mind joining the discord? discord.gg/GgDbj8Bt

Why do you prefer to use Joystick Gremlin? VKB's software is more advanced and their YT videos show step by step setups. Is their a specific reason?

Joystick Gremin does different things and is easier to use. I do think you know what JG does. My quick setup guide shows just a handfull of nice things. If VKBs software is more advanced it's advanced in other ways. They are different tools. Like hammer vs screwdriver

Joystick Gremlin also works on various manufacturer devices. I personally have use a VKB Modern Combat Ultimate stick with a Thrustmaster T16000 stick for throttle, and a crosswind pedals (at least for star citizen). Joystick Gremlin means you aren't locked into any system. The manufacturer's software packages can be great but they also limit you to a particular manufacturer. One bind I would recommend considering - if you have a flip down trigger where flipping the trigger is a separate button press from the trigger functionn then you can set it to put your ship into and out of missile mode. So if I flip down my secondary trigger it changes me to missile mode automatically. You just need to set the gremlin to trigger on the action condition of when the button is pressed and released. So that I can flip the trigger down go into missile mode, fire off a couple of missiles, and flip it up to go out of missile mode. I also have it change the function of one of the hats so that I can use the hat to change the missile type and increment through the missile count.

Regarding the flip triggers and changing modes… I haven’t seen anyone talking about the addition of binds to hard set different modes- specifically gun mode. This now means you can set your flip trigger to activate one logical/virtual button on the flip down and then, by using a shifted state that only activates when the flip trigger is in, you activate a different button on the way back out. This completely solves the problem of getting your buttons out of sync with the game states. Also for anyone wondering if the whole vjoy/hidhide/joystick gremlin thing is worth it…. Any extra time spent setting it up is more than made up for whenever Windows decides to reorder your USB devices and SC swaps your left and right hands.

Doesn't work for me. After following all your playlist videos, i have only one virtual joystick showing up in HidHide. And bullshit loaded into the game mapping.. EDIT: some hours later, still nothing works as expected. Now none of my sticks are even working

Do you have the blank template image for the dual vkb gladiators? On your website you have the binded templates but not the blank ones. Would appreciate if you could put up the blank and editable template for the vkb

I don’t get what i’m doing wrong. I’m doing exactly what you do but when you go to input viewer the virtual devices don’t show the input from the joysticks, but the VKBsim Gladiator L & R do show the input…

Inverting settings can be done inside of Joystick Gremlin. Just add Response Curve to an already added axis or button. Use the drop down box to change from remap to Response Curve. Then select Inverse on the graph and you don't have to do that inside of Star Citizen.

But SC is the one inverting I think. So it will just change back. I guess it could take slightly less time doing it in JG and then restarting profile.

@@SubliminaLstv I make the adjustments in Joystick Gremlin either way, and I have never had to make another adjustment to fix the issue. I have reset it in SC, only to have to fix it again.
