I been trying many different loadouts after just recently finding this channel. I always ran covert 2 but my non covert class includes first aid 1 awareness and hawk eye and I look at it as an advantage not having covert 2 as you can sort of lure enemies where you want them and even if you lose the gun fight your team generally knows where that enemy is either from marking them with hawk eye or having awareness which also gives away their position.

Robert Yup...it's always good to go covert-free for awhile and build up your other skills. Covert can become a crutch that you have to depend on...like BE3 and the shorty. 😉👍🏻

Just to add fuel to the fire you have people out there running no covert with strategist combined with perks and or weapons like BE3 and the shorty or purchased weapons. Its all part of the game though.

So funny because I actually thought of some sort of anti-covert loadout myself sometimes ago and it also had Strategist 2 but not Awareness 2 because I don't have that perk... but I wanted to add it so bad because I knew these 2 would be a deadly combination. Either way, good one there.

Another great video! You made a comment during this one that I would elaborate on. At one point you noticed that someone from the opposite team placed a bomb in a spot where you had previously put one. I do that all the time, but ONLY if I shoot the bomb before anyone on my team sets it off and goes down by it. I can't even count how many times I've gotten a down due to this. It's like they see it and just assume that it's theirs instead of checking listen mode first. I know that they have "halos" around them if they're form someone on your team, but those can be hard to notice depending on where the bomb is, especially if you're a Hunter. That thin blue outline blends in with EVERY.SINGLE.MAP. Obviously if you or someone goes down by a bomb, the person that laid it down will know where it was and they won't fall for the trick, but like I said, if you set it off without going down and then replace it with one of your own, it CAN be effective at times. Just a tactic I use from time to time. Keep up the great work and keep growing your brand!!!

I usually try to do it when the majority of my opponents have just been killed (X-ed out on the spawn counter) so they don't see that big red pulsating dot when I drop the bomb. 😉👍🏻

I commented awhile back about how I've been using the Awareness perk lately. Someone on my team said I'm the only one that can see the enemies marked by my Awareness perk, is this true? (if it is true I've been playing this whole time assuming my teammates can see the marked enemies)

Good comment...if you mark an opponent using R3, or damage marker, your entire team will see it. With Awareness 2 you ate the only one who can see them at twice the normal range, but they’ll see them if you mark them with R3/damage marker. If an opponent damages you while running Awareness, their nametag appears on your screen...but they’re not marked. You are the only one who sees the nametag when you’re damaged. Hope this helps. 😉👍🏻

Good stuff. I'm definitely going to try out awareness but I just don't feel Strategist has sufficient range. Good for multi-levelled maps, as you say. I personally think Sharp Ears 3 should cost four points and give you the ability to hear Covert users, even if it were just a motion ripple. It's like, you're sweet at hiding but my ears are pretty ace too so there's the counter. Anyway, always love these vids and ideas so thanks, man.

Good combo against CT. I'm still sticking with my comments before though. They need s better balance to combat CT. Because although these are effective they aren't a balance in my opinion. It seems like CT still has an advantage. Plus the combo of awareness and strat 2 costs 7 loadout points. That's a big chunk. I do like the combo and have run it on pistol only before (combined with CT2 teehee) so I applaud your strategic thinking. You did what you can with what you have. But I'm still all for hawkeye 3 or sharp ears 3 countering CT. But I'm not ND so doubtful that happens. Good work, good work.

I agree with you...I think this is the best non-covert and non-BE3 loadout for countering, although I never said it was on par with CT itself. My thoughts are along the same lines as yours...is like to see CT removed completely or strongly nerfed. It's unbalanced indeed. 😉👍🏻

@Matt Terra Strategist 1 shows you when you’re marked, Strategist 2 shows that and enemies on the radar who are close by, and Strategist 3 does all that and lets you respawn up to 10 seconds early on another teammate (who is not near opponents). Awareness 1 shows enemy IDs for 5 seconds when they damage (not mark) you. 😉👍

RayStar I've been wondering the same question myself when I looked at Strategist's development over these past couple of months. I've come to a conclusion with 2 points. 1. *Be engaged with the community.* Strategist is the type of person to go above and beyond when complimenting someone or helping someone out. He would notice small TLoU channels and would just simply give his input and things that he liked. The same goes for big TLoU channels such as Bobbybarks and Nick Eh 30. Strategist never hesitates to help them out, he helps Bobby commentate, and edit. He attends Nick Eh 30's streams and brings postives vibes to the chat. ☺ 2. *Strategist's content is unique in his own way.* One thing I've always said about Strategist is that he is not your typical TLoU channel. He does not post montages, comebacks, FN gameplay, etc. Rather he's just a person creating loadouts to help the viewers, and the community out. He started out by doing the Beginner's Guide, and went off from there. I knew that the moment I noticed his channel, I wouldn't be let down. His voice is also very relaxing...good to just sit back and listen to 😊. Ultimately, the combination of these two points are what caused Strategist to be noticed by Nick. I hope that you take these points into consideration Ray, and never stop working to achieve your goal. You will eventually achieve it! 😉 👍

In my experience, the only effective way to counter a smart player using covert is with covert unfortunately. That's how you know a perk is broken; when its only true counter is itself. Good teamwork can also work very well, but only if the covert player has a bad team. Otherwise, I feel that 4 smart covert players (especially with agility) will usually win against 4 smart non-covert players. But yeah about strategist 2, I kinda feel that the range is too small. I think it would be a perfect counter to covert if it had the range of a tactical shotgun for instance. However, if it had that extended range but also told you the exact positions of all the enemies then it would be too strong in my view... So, I think it would be better if it simply told you that someone was nearby (like it does when you are trying to spawn on someone with strategist 3) rather than exactly where they were. That little bit of information would be all I'd need to counter covert in most cases, just the knowledge that someone is hiding behind a bit of cover somewhere within tac range of me. Just a thought. But yeah, cool match, and cool loadout nonetheless! another good example of why I should really try out awareness 2. 😂 I definitely think that perk is underrated too. Keep it up.

I agree whole heartedly. This is the best non covert and non-BE3 loadout to counter CT, but I didn't say it was on par with CT or full-proof against it. I totally agree with you, and yeah, I'd like to see major changes to CT in TLOU 2. 😉👍🏻
