@ted ritola AGREED...........something happened in the 80's that changed the delivery of music; maybe MTV and Video where the theatrics took priority over the raw music talent of the singers and the instruments. There have been a few since the 1990's but very little raw talent. Maybe it will change, but i have not seen much lately.

Lobo, yes! Such a great song. I was so young, like 5/6 yrs old in the early 70’s when these were being played ( and subjects I was not aware of)but they have still stuck with me all these years. I feel the difference between lyrics then and now is the meaning behind them. There were “ true” feelings behind all this and not just “ your don’t mean anything to me, but you’re good enough for one night” kind of songs. Yes I am a romantic at heart and maybe that me a bit naive on the subject, but they taught me what I should have been looking for . Great suggestion- other Lobo songs:” Me and you and a dog named Boo”, “ Where were you when I was falling in love”.

So, long story short.... I met LOBO (Roland Kent Lavoy) one evening while hanging out after work. I worked in a plaza where another business was owned by his son. Sorry for being vague but he stopped by and after he left I was getting a weird vibe. They're like "hey you know who that was"? Yeah it was R____y's dad. ***awkward pause*** "Ya ever hear of LOBO"? Yeah you kidding I love his music. "That was his dad".
