Mr. Lavoie, I was 13 in '71 when I bought "Introducing Lobo". I've been hooked on your music ever since. I was also born in Tallahassee, and my dad was from Lake Alfred. Our paths may have been close in the past. Thank you so much!

Thanks for the insights into I'd Love You To Want Me, which add to the information we already have about that amazingly awesome love song. To this day, it sounds great and NOT outdated at all ! That's the quality of a great love song - deservingly your biggest hit ! 😍

My favorite song, and the music is soulful. This song reminds me of my crushes whom I'd think they were my true love. But as we grew there is a realization that those were just crushes, and you have to travel a long way to get true love. Anyway, this song still touches the chords of my heart to this day. Thank You Lobo for making my days of puberty peaceful. Love you and God Bless you and your family ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

You are simply amazing! Thanks for all you do. Composing wonderful songs like this one at a time when resources are so limited . Still wondering how you learned to play, sing and compose? Are there tips you could give to share how you did these?

I have this song and "Boo" on a POP playlist via my YT Account and only tonight I recall singing along with this song when I was a child. Your song and "Boo" were in heavy rotation on Top 40 radio back then and if my memory is correct it was in the car whenever my parents did their errands. I would sing along with this song without any shame which is amazing since I was a very shy boy. Incredible melodic composition and I hope you are still writing songs with the same careful attention to melodic craftsmanship as you did back then.

How cool Robert John Mr sad eyes. Never knew that those high voices on your great songs were his tenor 🤠 It's a fun song to play simply acoustically too without all the strings and everything else just a good campfire song.

'I'd Love You To Want Me', along with 'Don't Tell Me Goodnight', as well as your superb cover of 'Rings' (easily the best of all versions of that song) are my Lobo favorites. I first heard 'Rings' after having bought your 'Best Of...' compilation, back in the day, and still remember thinking, "How have I not ever heard this before?" I've noticed that most people who hear it for the first time seem to have the same reaction. The instrumentation alone is astounding. All that said, my first exposure to your music was this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/amq7qZ6fgM6Lhs0 Although a bit labored, they managed to keep the lyrics true to the theme of your own. Thanks for all your great music.

Did you know that this song became known worldwide in 1970 through a TV show (crime film in Germany)? It was only through this broadcast on German TV that LOBO became known. This film was seen in the US and 100 other countries.
