"Nothing There" is named what it is because it's like a parrot, repeating the last words of people it's killed, wearing their skin. It's great. Ironically easy to manage, since it moves slow, sticks around when engaged, and only does one damage type to things in the same room, so you can just send someone really tanky and tie it up in a corridor somewhere, and just whittle it down.

Lobotomy Corp. and its sibling games like Library of Ruina were always fascinating to me. They were some of *_those_* games, you know the ones; every fan I talked to about it online simultaneously told me how absolutely amazing they were, followed by vehemently insisting that I should _absolutely never play it_ because it will ruin your life. During the Steam winter sale, I finally pulled the trigger on my curiosity and bought Lobotomy Corp. A friend then gifted me LoR "for when I get tired of trying to win Lobotomy Corp." I think I'm somewhere around Day 15 now.

Pakpak is the only guy I know who covered all of Lobotomy Corp in English. It's 3 hours long. This is still much shorter than playing it yourself.

Oh, another Oldman reac- IS THAT A FUCKING PROJECT MOON GAME Edit: Fun little side note. The game's soundtrack contains 3 different songs called trumpets, labeled 1 to 3rd, and based on the Christian seven trumpets of the apocalypse. The 3rd trumpet signals complete destruction of the Lobotomy Corporation branch and the possible first step for the abnormalities to end humanity as we know it. Fun.

Lobotomy Corp summary: You play as a manager of a Foundation Site who has to extract energy from anomalies via interaction. The types of anomalies vary; a contagious radio frequency; Red Riding Hood; the Antichrist; a German sniper; fairies; a gift giving little girl (surprise! It's spiders!); a blood filled bathtub; and the King of Hatred. There's plenty more I haven't mentioned, but that's part of the charm, solving the mystery behind these anomalies and finding your footing.

Ok so this is the first in a trilogy of games made by Korean studio Project moon. It's got a really good and deep lore i definitely recommended getting into. And yes this was specifically inspired by scp, it says so directly on the steam page

Please PLEASE watch more Projmoon, it's up there with Warhammer as one of the best dystopias ever (and the sound track is killer). The lore is DEEP and very little of it is happy. Lob corp is just as interesting as the SCP foundation if not more so and the abnormalities themselves are worth individual looks too. Reading the wiki doesn't compare to seeing the animations and such that accompany each new observation level. Hearing about [CENSORED] and SEEING [CENSORED] are two different experiences. The Lobotomy Corp game does have quite a few spelling and grammar errors because it's originally in Korean and their first translator scammed them and produced an incomprehensible translation that the second group of translators had to salvage. It's now comprehensible but for a small indie studio at the time two translation budgets is not cheap.

I've played LobCorp at around 2023 last time, and I'd say the translation right now is pretty damn good. I'm glad they could manage to get a proper translation team come Ruina and Limbus (Even if Limbus started off shoddy) But I absolutely agree the game is a wonder. Though playing it may be difficult since it is a time sink.

The cascade failure moment reminds me of Darkest Dungeon, it starts good and easy and then your party shuffle places cuz they got surprised even though they have 100% light, you do no crits and the enemy does, constant misses when trying to kill the mob that spams stress skill on your characters, one guy gets to 100 stress and usually is the healer so he gets PTSD and the paranoid kind so half the turns he does something by himself like not wanting to heal an specific character which clearly needs heal, passes the turn, strike your own characters or heals himself even though it's full hp, you decide to leave while all are still alive but it doesn't work the first time, before the second try the weakest character gets a damage per turn debuff and it's on death's door and when you finally escape the guy dies to one last tick of damage AND when you get back at the town the remaining party got a new bad trait or a disease and one of them can only heal stress from praying at the church but that one guy who is always at town and brings you new cannon fodder is somehow GOD KNOWS WHY, praying at the fucking church and won't go out until you go to another expedition, gotta love the darkest dungeon experience

So yeah it's basically "SCP Foundations the gestion game anime edition" you are force to interract with the SCP in some way and you don't know what they do until you research enough or you figure it out yourselves it's really cool, brutally hard honestly but also fun with an interesting story that spawn a few other game as well

Spoiler warning: Lob Corp has HR from Warhammer 40k, complete with contracted kill teams that don't care who the friendlies are because they were hired for complete extermination, secret incentives for one of the cast to get as many friendlies killed as possible, and a lot of equipment failing as intended.
