@@retrokon IDK IF THIS IS SPOILERS in terms of the outside world according to the intros of two other games in the same cannon universe (I have played through them all) the outside world is a bit of a dystopian nightmare, so you can imagine offering a well paying job at a high end laboratory would be incentive enough to keep receiving clerks and employees. Details of the hiring process is explained in Lobo Corp.

SPOILERS FOR DAY 21 ONWARDS I like how for as traumatic as the Asiyah Sephirahs backstories are, their mental breakdown on company time boils down to the most passive aggressive shit like Yesod fucking with the cameras. And what you're doing I mean just going through the days or actually trying endgame stuff like White night or Apocalypse bird or just core supressions(which are hard starting from middle layer and very hard on the bottom one).

I’m only saying this because my brain is _supremely_ dumb, but do you know long it took my both literally and mentally dyslexic butt to realize that Project Moon and Type Moon weren’t the same team?! I was _dreading_ the insanity of just wholesale _throwing_ Fate lore into this cluster of a reality as yet another reality split. I still pause when I see someone say Project Moon and panic just a little. (Debating picking up Library of Runia and LC even if LC isn’t normally my cup of tea game play wise, the lore sounds so amazing thanks to one existential crisis of a video on how the Warp Trains work in “Love Town.”)

@@the_fenix_3247 wait, wait wait wait… REALLY????? … oh noooo. I do not even want to begin to think about how… oh no. I’m just imagining the King of Heroes, the World, the Throne, and etc, let alone the _moon_ merging into the world of Lobotomy Corp. Though maybe as a Lost Belt in GO? That wouldn’t do much justice, however. And Fate can spin off however it wants with its endless universes. Not to mention Servants are basically Eldritch Abominations anyway. And the Association could probably slide right in there, effortlessly. I was in the middle of writing a Fic/AU and suddenly realized that all the Mages’ Association was just… magical organized crime. And I think that might fit in really well, especially if, thanks to what I sort of know of the plot, (I can feel myself falling down a rabbit hole already and this is… not going to be pretty) there might be a chance that other places might have survived. If the Clock Tower aspect made it, or Chaldea did-since it exists outside of time-you could probably drag Chaldea into a Lobotomy Corp, Limbus Company, Fate mashup. Though, I personally, enjoy the concept of the HGWs as proxy wars, and not just how Grand Order is structured. Would be fun to watch Gilgamesh be a Eldritch abomination, though. Actually I think divorced from their Mage counterparts, and summoned into somewhere actively corrupting like LC (and what I’ve seen of Limbus) any servant just… _is_ an Eldritch Abomination. So I’m kinda glad to know that, so it doesn’t jumpscare me in the near-ish future. XD

This game is great. Its actual lore that all of your employees get their paid leave after 2 months of working for the Corporation(Your nuggets will say this when idle), but none of them actually get it because the game ends in 50 days.

I spent 120 hours on this game and man its the definition of playing a game out of spite. But its so worth it for the sheer fact of how much of a banger Library of Ruina is, its genuinly becoming one of my favorite games ever, its a joy to play and see the story and hey you dont even need to finish lobotomy corp to understand it since they talk about the story in there too, although lobotomy corp is nice to play too, to see more of the characters and such.

Yes, after around 120 hours I also kept going because I didn't want to be bested. This is a very hard game under a rather simple foundation which is great!

I believe playing Lobotomy Corporation is necessary to fully appreciate the story, but at minimum you should watch a video on youtube with all the story from Lob. People who start with just Ruina instead of Lob and have 0 info about anything will misunderstand important characters *cough* Ayin *cough*

First run got me to day 39 when I got double teamed by the Queen of Hatred and Big Bird (with his extended family). Second run, I picked up the Plague Doctor on day 11, and he immediately recruited 6 apostles. I can see it will not end well. He's up to 8 apostles now. Haven't played it to the end (yet), but get the impression the world is dead but Lobotomy Corporation continues to lurch on by auto pilot.

Yes, I love the narrative, it's a complex and deep story with many twists and turns. If you like gritty dystopian hellscapes these guys are your guys.

Part of me does wish it was more mainstream but another part of me hopes it stays a bit obscure. Not because the games are bad or anything, they are fantastic. But because if they get mainstream, a bunch of clickbait KZbinrs will introduce it to little kids and you’ll get another cringe FNaF fan base around a gritty and dark game.

Only Jacksepticeye played long time ago, maybe we can try to tell him to play again

Honestly I can't see this getting mainstream anytime soon, most people don't like games that are hard and take a lot of effort to finish. Now it could become popular purely through youtube and such, but I don't see most people wanting to watch hours of gameplay for a few bits of lore. However I do think it should be more widely known, I never heard of it untill recently, which is a shame, because this is exactly my type of game and I'm loving it so far.

@@checkmoth6402I… legitimately think the popularity of FromSoft games (never mind Cup Head) disproves that “people don’t like hard games.” I don’t think there is even an argument to say “people don’t like hard, unfair games” (though less do). I think what gets Lobotomy Corp in trouble and has a barrier of entry is you have to like that particular style of game. I’m only seriously considering picking it up, because I really, _really_ want to know the lore/story behind all the different corps, how they got a hold in the City, how the world basically ended, and etc etc etc. But as a rule? I don’t like playing this kind of game. I’m not an Oxygen Not Included or Fallout Shelter fan. And the gameplay of Library of Runia is much more up my alley but I feel a bit weird not at least attempting the original first (unless they’ve written books, then I’d read them for the lore, but I believe the only “books,” or massive reading, is in game, which is fine). I completely understand why Lobotomy Corp is structured as it is, and why it’s built as resource management Eldritch horror capitalism “survival” game. That makes the most sense for the kind of thing LC is in universe, and it’s _the best_ way to get across what is going on via environmental story telling. So I probably will bite that bullet soon enough. I usually can only go so long with lore tempting me before I say “screw it” and decide to play through it myself. Unless there is a known issue of running into a broken mechanic/gameplay loop like the absurdity of needing to harvest and kill bargest in The Witcher (first one) to get the alchemical ingredient needed to both progress and also properly kill bargests and if you can’t, you will get soft locked. >.

I understand how listening to the same two tracks for several hours can become annoying, but damn those tracks are gold! They always give me this cozy familiar PTSD feeling. I finished the game and I still go back to the same two tracks whenever I feel like I need the adrenaline for my day or while working out.

So I bought the game after watching this. I'm currently finishing the last few days of the middle layer and my last play session involved only one day, where I desperatly hunted Airune (or whatever is the name of that teleporting flower lama) 5 times in order to comlete the waw hunting mission and hoping neither parasite tree, nor army in black screw me over. So yeah, maybe I did lose my sanity, but it was completely worth it in the end. Edit: I can't belive how innocent I was, now that I supressed 5 sephirot at day 42 or so, I realise I had no clue what insanity was. Still worth it though ;)
