So special that Paul stays like really positive guy. Always looks happy and making fun. And doing fun and nice things to keep life fun. Even after all the bad and heavy things he’e experienced. The crash with his motorcycle… the lockdowns with his restaurant.. got sick…. It’s easy to get depressed. But not easy to stay motivated and positive

While he explained why he didn’t want a thick sauce, I definitely would’ve preferred quite a bit thicker.
@natsfan1002 жыл бұрын
That wasn't even a sauce, he just heated cream.

Never had lobster poutine but wouldn’t the thickness come from the melted curds?

I have recently found your channels and have been watching several of them a day. I love them all. Your C&R program is wonderful. You and Paul are wonderful together and make cooking look easy and fun. The idea of a cookbook that was mentioned in this episode is very interesting and i am sure everyone would enjoy that. I do know that takes a great deal to get together. Here is a thought for you and Paul. You could offer the recipe here in the description. This would put it out there of your fans.

Cream shouldn’t be cooked that long! For a proper cream sauce, start off by making a roux and adding the cream to desired thickness. Sorry, I just got the shivers seeing the cream boiling over. Much appreciate the content, just want to see you cook it right!

Ken's husband is a chef at a restaurant or something so he should know how to cook but I agree that looked all kinds of wrong if you ask me. The sauce also ended up too runny

This video made me want poutine so bad. Unfortunately I live in the States and for some reason Smoke's Poutinerie failed here and McDonald's USA has no want to ever introduce poutine here (even when they have promotional international menu items). So I make it myself. I go to Target and buy cheddar cheese curds (only grocer I can find them at in my area (FL)), then I go to KFC and order a large gravy in the drive-thru, finally I go to McDonald's and order a Large Fry. I then race home from McDonald's before the fries get cold, microwave the gravy for a minute to get it piping hot, pour the fries onto a plate, throw on the curds, and then pour that piping hot gravy onto the fries and curds. It is amazing. Would recommend if you're ever in Florida or any other state with a Target, KFC, and McDonald's on your van adventures and are craving poutine to make you feel like you're at home in Canada.
