+crumb9cheese watching this video makes me realize that it should be selling for far more than I have been buying it for. Africans always seem to undervalue and "give" away their natural resources. I have been using this for years and it is great on my skin and hair.

The work these women put in is priceless. I believe it's thier dedication that keeps them in this job. If it's for the price, i think the opportunity cost is toooooo high. Please nobody should complain about the price of Shea Butter. Secondly may God bless the person that uploaded this video. You just saved a Life.

@maureengordon309
@maureengordon309 8 жыл бұрын
+summer time There are varied customs and cultures in this world. Why is it an issue? As a woman I see nothing wrong with this. For instance when a couple have a baby the woman usually does most of the changing of diapers, feeding etc and most woman enjoy doing this and have no complaints, likewise in the kitchen many women love to put together special meals daily for their family. It does not mean the men does nothing but some women enjoy this doing this. I see nothing wrong with the women working in this video so stop assuming that the men do nothing. I am sure they do chores the women don't do.

The yellow is natural colour. It's gotten from the best practise of collecting the nuts to processing it.

I just now left a reply in reference to how yellow Shea is achieved elsewhere. I never knew of this natural method and no one, at least to my knowledge has mentioned it in any video I've seen. Now where is this place and where do you sell on the market?
@sddunlop

I thought the white is from one nut and the yellow is a different nut? from different trees? One tree in the forest and one tree in the dessert? I would love to buy?
@estellea7121
@estellea7121 8 жыл бұрын
No. The white and yellow Shea is from the Shea Nut. However, the method of processing is different.
@ashleyyyl1

Shea butter is an ivory color. Many times you can find Shea that's been dyed yellow and called African butter. African butter is naturally yellow in color and is better than shea, although made from the same nuts.

This is quite enlightening in reference to how yellow Shea is produced. From what I have heard and seen they use a few methods to get the yellow hue. They use a root called boratutu, palm oil and a couple of other methods to achieve the yellow Shea.
