Nungambakkam, one of the premium residential localities of Chennai, is situated in the South-Western part of the city. The locality has both old-world charm and modern facilities that make life of the residents much easier. It also boasts good connectivity and a well-established social infrastructure. It abounds commercial establishments, educational institutions, shopping malls, and cultural centers.
The Cooum River touches Nungambakkam and passes along the locality, forming its northern border before reaching the Bay of Bengal. Seetha Nagar, Kamarajapuram, Wallace Gardens, Khader Nawaz Khan Road and Kothari Road are some prime sub-localities of Nungambakkam. Chetpet, Aminjikarai, Kodambakkam, T.
