Please make this series longer. I can watch your progression every day. Im in the same position with tres. I can do them but not consistently at all and ur tips help more than tutorials

The thing with 360flips is that they work better if you dont really think about them. If you overthink them, they mess up. Usually the best ones are those after you land your trick and randomly decide to throw one. You know, those random ones after a make of something else😅

I’ve been enjoying this series! Cool to see how other people go about getting their tricks. The tres you landed all looked casual arms down.

the grunting 😁 time your breath to start exhaling just as you start to pop the trick. you’ll be more relaxed & possibly have more universal control of your body movement.

I like that series. I am like super close to your progression. I go for landing 20 - 50 treflips in one session and that is helping alot in consistency. Sometimes i Land 4 in a row and Sometimes i struggle for 10 min without landing anyone. I think it will develop with time and if you keep practicing you will have them on lock. Just keep trying !

Also your back foot takes a key role on tres. So have it in the pocket and hanging off slightly more than you already have it. It will make it so much easier.

You need to move your front foot up (closer to the bolts) to increase balance and jump higher after the pop to give your board more time to spin. You're not jumping very high, so your board is always just barely making it around before you put your feet down. For the purposes of learning, a make is a make but if you want to improve I suggest focusing more on that stuff; you've already got the spin and flick.
@Matthew-qf8bb Жыл бұрын
that’s what i do- i watched an andrew reynolds’s kick flip tutorial and his feet were just under bolts… my kickflip foot position is further back than tres now and it helps
@crownedinterror9 Жыл бұрын
@@Matthew-qf8bb Same for me. I kickflip with my front foot directly behind the bolts and do the same on the tre, works perfectly.
@TheSmithSkateboards Жыл бұрын
I really think you should put your front foot closer to the nose, you have the motion but you don't look stable before you do the trick, and having a wider stance will allow you more control. Good luck you're almost there!

jo joe, w progression!! Dont know if youre interested in any tips, but something that really helped me get tres on lock is focusing on the front foot catch. I noticed on the bank tres that u have a tendency to catch with your back foot. Focusing on really watching tthe board come around and catching with your front foot really is what changed everything for. Also for the scoop, you rush the scoop a bit, youre leg scoops and goes straight into preparing for the landing. I typically treat the scoop as a follow through in basketball. Scoop and leave your foot/leg extended for a sec (not saying it needs to be spread eagle), that ensures that ur not rushing your scoop (and also helps your front foot catch the board first). If you watch any pro do a tre, youll see that little pause before the knee comes up to catch the board. Nevertheless, keep grinding, ur killing it.

What I can really say is just be more comfortable and relaxed when doing it and try to really focus on the pop and really bend down and try, don’t get lazy!
@Andy-tv8oq Жыл бұрын
Here is a tip for Tre flips. Put more pressure on the tail so you get more pop and scoop. Everything your doing is good. The only thing your doing wrong is you don’t lean down enough which means the board doesn’t pop that high. The more pop you get the more room there is for the board to rotate. So be like a spring, lean down then spring up and do the Tre.
@kwote Жыл бұрын
What you said about pressure is what I’ve been saying. It’s artificial pressure that’s causing you to get less makes. You’re getting multiple tre flips per session. You should be stoked.
@atypical_blk_guy Жыл бұрын
I mentioned it in the last video but you should've done the sets of 10 at the beginning. You put so much energy into the euro and the game that by the time you got to the best out of 10, you're already gasing out. Weight is not on your side, so do the set of 10 as early as possible. For you, energy conservation should be a priority. Keep it up.

honestly man when it comes to learning any trick its about repetition. You cant think your way into learning a trick. It can make sense in your head, but your head doesnt do the trick - your body does. I got really good at tre flips later in life by just not stopping until id land 50 a day, and that was my whole session for a few weeks. Now I can do them better then i ever could have imagined and almost every try.

I like this series because I'm working on tres too, trying to get the stanky leg steeze. On ep 10 or after ep 10 you should make a short montage comparing your old tres to your ones now. I think I see some good progress!

I'm not sure if this will be helpful or not - but I've noticed whilst using your tips.. if you travel at a decent speed it tends to work a lot easier.. almost like going at speed helps the momentum of the board?! If that even makes sense?! aha - But I noticed that whilst you were doing them, although being very close an foot slipping off a few of them - that's where I find if you travel a little faster you'll tend to stay on a bit easier :) Either way you are still killing it bro, keep up that hard work it will pay off :D

I'm going to echo a little of what some others have said. I feel like you're trying the sets of ten at the end, and fatigue is one of your biggest problems. Hit a set of ten after just a short warm up, then go into the work. Try another set at the end if you feel good.

heyy Joe, been watching for some time now, not to be another one of this guys saying do this or do that but, u seen a little uncomfortable on the 360 position, if thats the case maybe putting your front foot more on the board or up on the board should make it feel better, the flick is so subjective on this trick that it shouldnt make a real diference on the rotation, with a more balanced posture i imagine you be more confident on jumping while still balanced, i apreciate the time your taking and effort put on this series.
@kwote Жыл бұрын
You’re not under rotating them. You’re opening your shoulders too much. That’s why you keep going to the right instead of rolling away straight. Look at your scooping foot instead of your flicking foot until after you start rolling away and you’ll stay squared up with the board.
@felipe.Martins.86 Жыл бұрын
Maybe if you lift you front foot up after the scoop rather than trying to flick it . I think you need more time in the air as well
@jakegray8850 Жыл бұрын
If you put your front foot higher up it will make it easier to put more power and be more balanced I have my front foot like an inch below the bolts

You probably were exhausted by the 10 attempt. Have you tried bringing you front foot further up by the bolts? Almost in kickflip position.

Becoming a comedy of errors😆. Richard's right, step away from the trick for a while after day 10 and come back with fresh eyes and mind and you'll do better without this pressure to master the trick within 10 days. It's just skateboarding, so just have fun. Keep your head up, Joe. 👊

8:22 even if you're not seeing the kinda of results you'd hope for, I think this form of tre flip boot camp is going to pay off in the long term. You seem to have a deeper understanding of the tre, I think only time and practice you'll get to really apply everything, as well as physically develop. Realize your body is going to adapt over time. Just like working out, it takes time and consistency. I can see you fine tuning things over the long term. What may work at one point or situation might not apply for another. I'd like to maybe see you do something like 1 year progression. Practice tres every day or two long as you're getting proper rest and diet. How about in one year you land ten in a row
@aaronmaxey6389 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I think you’re putting too much pressure on yourself to land it and it seems to be causing you to tense up I think you would make more progress on the consistency if you thought about it less and just throw them throughout your session and once you have the consistency down the pop will most likely come naturally
